HAIR&EYES Her mother Sarah had always described her hair as a mane of wild curls, brunette in color and all over the place. Liviah's eyes are hazel, sometimes a warm brown, other times hints of other colours appear.

PERSONALITY Livie is mostly described as a day dreamer. Her thoughts tend to grasp her up and run with her. Most days she's dreaming about a future. She's unsure if she pictures a husband or a wife, but there is always a family. She tends to take a liking to certain people and then become extremely loyal to them. She's kind to almost everyone, even if it's just a nod to acknowledge their presence, she doesn't like to be rude to others but doesn't always agree with them either. She is extremely close with her little sister Kelsie. The sisters were both
adopted from the same birth mother, who they assume was a witch because they have different birth fathers. She tends to be curious about her birth mother, but since her little sister wants nothing to do with their birth mother, she stays away from that topic.
As a teacher (or assistant) Liviah tends to expect a great deal of respect from her students. She believes that in order to get respect, you have to give it in the first place. She is always willing to stay late or come in early in order to work with any students who need extra help. She isn't huge on conflict so bad behavior in her class always causes an uncomfortable moment before she reacts. She requires kindness to everyone while they are under her care and will not promote any kind of hate toward others.
Livie tends to enjoy spending time with others by the lake and swimming in the lake when she's not terrified of the creatures within. She does a great deal or reading and writing letters to her family abroad. She doesn't think she's all that funny, but sometimes she will crack a joke and people tend to love how corny she can be. Overall she's a very loving individual, who promotes the saying, "Be the change you wish to see in the world"

OTHER Her parents are Faith and Sarah Hartwell. They just legally got married in the United States. Both work as professors at colleges.
HISTORY 
Liviah Corrine Hartwell was the first child to be adopted into the Hartwell family. She was brought to live with her two mothers Sarah and Faith at the age of two when her birth mother had some sort of accident and grew unable to care for her. Her birth name had been Violette-Liviah, but her new mothers decided that name was a bit too long for a little girl and dropped the Violette part. When Livie was only five years old, her mothers were contacted by the adoption agency who informed them that Livie's little sister was up for adoption as well. The mother's had only planned on taking one child, but Livie who tended to listen in at doors, had begged them to reconsider. Sarah
and Faith, having a good amount of money, decided that they could afford to expand their household yet again for Liv's little sister. Coming with the name Kelsie-Kathleen, they once again dropped one of the names and called their second child Kelsie Madeleine Hartwell. Being quite a bit older than Kelsie, Livie helped out with taking care of her and grew very attached from a young age. It was actually Kelsie who began to discover that strange things seemed to be happening around the sisters when they had a sudden change in mood. Faith and Sarah, both well respected teachers, had very different views on the strange occurrences surrounding their daughters. Sarah, a talented mathematician, did not believe in the occult, magic, or anything that couldn't be proven with a string of numbers and had a terrible time trying to explain away her daughters. While Faith, a music and art lover, tended to be a bit more relaxed about things and thought the girls might be mediums of some sort. When Liv turned eight, Sarah got offered her dream job in England. Faith struggled with the idea of moving the girls, but finally agreed knowing it was what was best for the family.
The year Liviah turned eleven came as quite a shock to the family. Her letter came and she was boggled by the idea that she ws a witch. She'd seen the movie Practical Magic growing up and thought her mother Sarah might react quite a bit like those angry townspeople. She told Kelsie first who grew pink with excitement and ended up popping all of the birthday balloons from Livies party. It was wonderful to be able to learn more about who she was, but leaving her family, especially Kelsie proved to be quite the challenge. The sisters were always stronger together and being apart was quite painful for the two.
Luckily, Faith jumped on the magical band wagon almost right away, fitting in surprisingly well despite having no magical ability herself. Sarah took some convincing, but eventually came around especially when Kelsie also received her letter.
Kelsie and Liv get together at least three times a week and Liviah sees her mothers as often as she can. She adores her job and friends, and constantly dreams of her beautiful future family.
