PERSONALITY
Winry is an ever curious being and goes about this by, well, listening into peoples conversations. Sure she can be somewhat nosy but you cannot tame this young witches enthusiasm to hear a good story. While her actions are performed through scheming, the notion itself being a word that greatly associated with her family line, Winry's intentions are harmless and all in desire to get to the root of a mystery. It is this knack for listening in that makes Winry very well informed with her surroundings, even if she hasn't formally met the people she eavesdrops on. Listening in doesn't always give her answers and sometimes Winry can be a little inappropriate - asking personal questions without hesitation, making comments that come out blunt and berating ignorance if needs be.
From reading books and discovering life's mysteries from asking questions, studying folklore and theory tales, Winry has a repertoire that enables her to carry a good conversation and make her quite charismatic. Even so, she struggles with the written word and finds it very hard to put thoughts onto paper. Socially, despite being inept in subtlety, Winry is really friendly and affectionate. If angry, she carries her emotions quietly and will delve into one of her hobbies until she has calmed down. Violence is never an option.
In terms of hobbies, Winry can be found kitting away in a corner, reading a book or even both at once. On occasion she likes to bake however her experiments in the kitchen do not turn out very tasty. Winry has a very hopeless romantic side to her personality and goes weak at the knees when her crush is in her company. It's times like that where her charisma fails and almost amusingly she lets herself down with either inappropriate behavior or downright embarrassment. Winry is in touch with her feelings and often becomes a slave to emotions when around those she likes.

HISTORY
For as long as she can remember, it has always been Winry and her mother. Her father passed away when she was 4 years old and every so often she has dreams of a very tall man with wispy blonde hair and broad smile much like her own. Grief from a lost father is something every child carries with a heavy heart, but like many others, Winry adapted and grew, cherishing what she had. There was always a difference between Winry and the rest of her close family - that being her mother, auntie and beloved cousin (who wasn't quite as close as Winry would like them to be), Winry was always a little out of step with the others. While her mum had a firmly snobbish appearance, Winry would wander with more of a softness. She grew up knowing of the pureblood beliefs and respected her mother and aunties views. They were never dark witches however it must be said, simply purebloods who were very proud and very protective over their community.
When she started at Hogwarts, Winry found it easy to make friends however never stuck with one crowd. Her cousin was always around and every so often she would converse with the Slytherin, however always departed her company before she overstayed her welcome. Her mother was never picky about house placement and claimed that so long as she succeeds and makes a name for herself in the place she has been put then its good enough. In her third year, perhaps around Christmas, Winry found that people would sometimes give her peculiar looks, particularly those from Slytherin house. It wasn't until her next encounter with her cousin that she discovered the cause of it went further back than both of them. Apparently an old photo book had been uprooted in the Slytherin dorms and inside held a photo of her mother and auntie with the names "Luckless Littlehearts" scrawled underneath. According to her cousin, the Slytherin's had decided to don her with the name Absent Littleheart. In fear of earning the same treatment, Winy started distancing herself from her cousin and in paranoia, started listening in on others conversations to make sure they weren't whispering about her.
It wasn't long before Winry discovered a power behind eavesdropping and began doing it more in order to learn about people. Even now it is harmless fun, plus mysteries have always been an interest. As she is in her fifth year (the years having gone by without being targeted by taunts) Winry has become a happy individual and even though she is very fond of her cousin, hopes her finishing school will remove all worries of having a tainted reputation.

RP EXPERIENCE? a very long time
RP SAMPLE.
It was early morning, 6.13 to be precise, and a lone Gryffindor was making her way down the staircase from the fifth year girls dormitories. Her scuffed lace up ankle boots made their way down the steps with precaution and general consideration towards her fellow house mates. It normally would not matter however given the current hour and the stone surroundings which reverberated noise off the walls like a speaker phone, Genevieve knew better than to go hurtling down the stairwell and waking people up. It was a Wednesday morning, so it would not be long before others would rise out of bed for their breakfast before classes – however this lion was not in for a venture to the Great Hall. She was fully dressed in her Gryffindor robes, sleeves hanging over her hands and balled up in a fist between her fingers out of habit. All her books and parchment were already gathered in her bag, a cereal bar also tucked away in her inner robe pocket to sustain her until it was time for breakfast.
It didn't take long for Genie to get from the Gryffindor common room onto the route towards the Owlery. It was not an unfamiliar journey for the young brunette as she quite often preferred to receive her post before they headed to the Great Hall to deliver the mail. There was something abot opening letters and parcels in front of people that just made her uncomfortable – for what if there was something inside which she did not want people to witness her reaction to? Perhaps it was just paranoia picked up from her father after all these years, though Genevieve would rather not divulge into that depressing thought. Unwrapping her cereal bar – her last pixiepuff one - Genie took a nibble of the corner and felt her tongue tingle at the sugary texture. It was not often that Genevieve would eat sweet things, firstly because she didn't have a greatly sweet tooth and secondly; she could not exactly afford to buy bars like this whenever she pleased, however it had been something her mother sent to her in a gift package last month.
Each bite she took brought the girl further up the outside staircase of the Owlery, the cool morning air sending a rush of blood to her cheeks making them rouge. The air was still up there, a few slumbering owls shuffling on their perches while many others were still out on their delivery runs. Genevieve made herself comfortable by leaning against one of the arches of the pane-less windows, watching as distant silhouettes of owls began to break through the clouds. Some came past her through the windows, perhaps from a nocturnal hunt for mice or even empty-handed delivery retrievals. It was the Poe family owl Forcus she was looking for, an aged tawny with a slightly chipped beak and gentle temperament. Genevieve began to ponder over what her mother might have sent this time, softly sighing while she chewed. Usually her gifts were generous but lacked a personal thoughtfulness, though Genie was used to her detached benevolence. It was all the girl knew. If she had more willpower, Genie would have the urge to send most of it back, but due to the fact gifts and treats for herself were a rarity, she couldn't seem to part with the packages. So there she stood, eyes on the skies, waiting for her Forcus to arrive and not even considering the fact she might not be the only one up that morning.
