PATRONUS A little cliché, but a dog. He's very loyal, and has a kind of unconditional love for the people that make it into his heart. That said, when someone he cares about is threatened, he will fight for them.

PERSONALITY Sometimes he is a friendly person, other times he's too invested in what he's doing to realize that there are people around at all. He's very into his studies both because he never takes for granted that he was given the chance to attend a wizarding school (the sort of thing nerds like him dream about when they're young) and because he wants to get good marks so that he can remain in the wizarding world with a good job after. It isn't all about the schoolwork, though. He's the sort of guy that would never just be sitting in his dorm complaining about having nothing to do. He's always occupied with something, even if it's just playing chess with friends in the Great Hall.

Like a lot of teenagers he has the sense of not quite belonging. For him, though, it comes from his parents being a bit too busy for him as a child and then him going to a school where many of his classmates know more than him. They have families that have magic blood. He's just the wild card of his family. He has a sense of pride about that, but it's still hard sometimes to be the odd guy out. He's known to make references to things that other people don't quite get.

He doesn't have the best sense of humor (mostly those jokes people don't understand) but he is rarely a downer, being friendly to most people that he meets. He won't take peoples' crap forever. Instead of dueling them, though, he'll just speak his mind about them and the situation at hand and try to move on. He's never been in a fight... He's not a coward, but he doesn't like conflict much. And as for dating, he's not done that at all either, because he's too much of a wuss to ask a girl out and because no one has ever asked him.

HISTORY
Chandler was born to parents who basically got married because his mother got pregnant with him. Both of them sort of resented the fact because they were career oriented people who just happened to make a mistake one night and ended up paying for it. Marriage was the obvious option because they were from wealthier families. Later on in time, Pamela was born as well, though she was actually planned so less of a disappointment. Once he was about eight years old Chandler was responsible for caring for Pamela, because their parents were still more interested in their work.

When he received his letter to Hogwarts Chandler was ecstatic. To make Pamela feel at least a little bit better, their parents hired a live-in tutor and nanny that cared for her. Knowing that his sister was going to be somewhat well-taken care of, Chandler went to school without any real worries. At the time he didn't think about how odd it was that his parents accepted the situation so readily. In truth, he was just another thing that they could push to the side. He realized that when he was older, but that only made him appreciate his time at Hogwarts and place in the wizarding world more.

He took up photography and writing as a means of expression. Not to dwell on the negatives, but to keep the memories of what happened at school and over the summers to show his little sister. And to cheer himself whenever things weren't going right. His father has recently developed a bit of a drinking problem, and along with that, has become a little more likely to take his troubles out on his children than to bottle it up. School means more than ever to Chandler, because he knows if he doesn't find what he wants to do before his time at Hogwarts is over, his father is likely to expect him to take after him in the business world.

See? Muggles and wizards aren't that different after all.
