HAIR&EYES Red hair that is sometimes more wavy and sometimes more curled, depending on what she's doing with it. She never straightens it, because it has a natural curl. She usually has her hair in a low ponytail on the side and brought around to the front, but she sometimes wears it in pigtails or down. She likes to wear hats sometimes, usually during the summer. Blue eyes. She has no problem using magic to change the color of her hair or eyes. Light freckles.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT She is athletic, since she played sports and has done ballet for most of her life... She's 5'7” and athletic and that's as detailed as I'm willing to get.

PATRONUS The red fox - they are extremely social creatures. Unlike a lot of animals they actually stick together in family units, the young of the family helping to care for the other babies. They also adapt quickly to new things and environments. They have the reputation for mischief, as does Ambere, and they can be extremely playful.

PERSONALITY Ambere has always been a free spirit who never let what anyone else thinks get her down. She is unusual for that reason. She likes to walk through forests in bare feet (actually, she likes to do everything that she can in bare feet) and speak to everyone that she meets. She especially likes to speak with elderly people who have a lot of experience in life. She likes to learn how the human heart works. She never had just one group of friends, and when there was drama between groups she would stay out of it.

She hates to see anyone unhappy, and wants to delve deeper into a person's personality to find the good. At the same time, she is good at watching out for herself and keeping her feet on the ground even when her head is in the clouds. She is a playful and sarcastic person much of the time because she knows that helps people to feel carefree a lot better than dwelling on the negative. She can seem as though she doesn't care about anything and that she's never serious, but that wouldn't be true. She doesn't care either way if people think of her that way. People can take her or leave her, their opinion won't change anything, not even her opinion of them.

She has a flirtatious streak that she has never been able to rid herself of. She gets along better with boys naturally and they're often the target of her unintended flirting, which has led to girls disliking her. She also has trouble with authority because she likes to try everything once, and does things just to shock the people that would try to stop her. But she is always honest in what she thinks when she speaks it.

Ambere can be serious sometimes. When she feels things, she feels them with all her heart and empathy comes with everything that she does. She cares too much about people to leave them if they're upset and she'll try to get people to come out of their shells. It bothers some people, but oddly enough, most of the time she succeeds.

HISTORY Ambere was never really let in on what had happened to her biological family. She knows that her father snapped and led to the deaths of her mother and sister and that he was now in a mental institution, but those are all the details about the incident that she knows. She knows that her father was a pure-blood from a very old family and that her mother was a muggleborn because at the time, such things seemed important. Ambere's real history began with her adopted parents, Dom and Abygaile O'Callaghan.

Coming from a magical orphanage she was placed into a family that knew better than she the story and would expect her to be a witch, too. They weren't disappointed. Ambere was the sort of kid that would make things happen all the time, almost as if by will. She was an extremely happy child who would do simple things to show that she cared about people, like picking flowers and bringing them to them. But she would also get into trouble, and come in covered in mud.

When she was only six, her adoptive father died in a late consequence of the last war. She was extremely upset by this, and shut down for a while. But her mother helped her through, and even at such a young age, she knew that she wanted to share this experience with other people and wanted to help them through their pain. She never forgot how much her mother helped her. They were closer after that, and she would sit with her while she told Ambere about the truth of where Dom would go sometimes. He was a member of the Order of the Phoenix who was fighting Lord Voldemort and the followers he'd left behind, and he had the misfortune to die before he could really enjoy the world that he'd helped make a little safer.

Ambere went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor house. She made a lot of friends, and a few enemies (mostly people who didn't like Gryffindor or who picked on people for no good reason; they were mostly Slytherins). She did well in classes that she thought she would have a use for and utterly failed in others. During the summers she would train more for ballet, a hobby her mother forced onto her and she quickly took to, and during the school year she discovered the room of requirement and would use it to practice there.

Her school years went by quickly but somewhat uneventfully. She lost one friend in her last year to a car accident and she felt the pain of loss again. It happened at a pivotal moment in her life. She was trying to decide what to do with her future, and this latest experience settled it for her. She wanted to be there for people who had no one else when the grief took hold, or people who just needed to talk.
