HAIR&EYES Cass's hair is wild and windblown but never dirty. His daily routine consists of waking up, showering, and drying his rich coffee-colored hair with a towel before just walking out. In all likelihood he's probably never seen a comb, just combs the knots out with his fingers. Despite his double-eyelids he has a distinct Japanese eyeshape and his irises are a deep amber brown with hints of burgandy making his eyes seem almost red like clay.

Anubis was the egyptian god whom ushered souls into the afterlife after weighing their heart on a scale, and this is relative to Cassius in that he sees those around him clearly and judges them based on how they interact with people lower than them.
PERSONALITY
Cassius is energetic and playful, even with strangers and pretty women--so long as they're attractive, he'll flirt with them. However it takes a lot more than a pretty face to keep Cassius interested--he likes women who have passion, or a dream. Nothing is comparable to a woman talking about something she's passionate about. Likewise, Cassius is passionate about traveling the world and seeing new places. He likes to get his blood pumping in dangerous situations, because nothing makes him feel more alive than doing something that could kill him.

He's witty and extremely reliable, having got himself in several dangerous situations that for most people lead to certain death. Yet, even if he is reliable in someways, he's incredibly indecisive and impulsive in others. He has a bad habit of being flighty whenever things get stressful at home, and will often disappear without a trace, sending back postcards of some new country he's been to.

Cass is also extremely devious, in that he enjoys playing with and pranking people no matter who they are. He makes jokes that make him laugh, instead of trying to make others laugh. Sometimes he is superficial in that he judges people based on how they treat him instead of who they really are.

He is more of a great fling and one-night stand than a long term lover. He is very charming and enjoys seducing people, but rarely commits. However if someone can get him to want to be tied down and own them, then he will be the most loyal of partners there is.

HISTORY
Cassius comes from a French-Japanese pureblood household. His mother Mariko Kayano came from Tokyo, Japan, and met his father (The younger brother of Jean-Joel Leclair and thus Decaria's uncle) Jean-Luc Leclair one night in Paris. Jean-luc, a simple minded parisean who loved making fun of Japanese tourists (they were just so easy to tease, afterall--they had no ideas pariseans were characteristically rude). After making her cry, however, he pitied her and ended up helping her find her way to his hotel, where things quickly went down a path he didn't expect. After a week-long affair, Mariko returned to Japan. Jean-luc thought he'd never see her again until one day he received a howler from her mother: He'd gotten her daughter pregnant, and the Kayano's were demanding he take responsbility for their daughter's honor.

Shortly after finding out he was pureblood, the family became relieved, the Kayano's were somewhat relieved that their honor wasn't as much at stake as they thought. Yet, they were soon disappointed at the birth of a boy: Cassius. Since the Kayano's were a matriarchy, there was no way Cassius would become an heir to their family, unless he subsequentially married a pureblood and carried on the female line through having a female child. Pressure was placed on Cassius to find a wife quickly, and there was talk of bringing him to Japan, until his father had died shortly before the war started. By that time he was already 17, and decided to remain in France while his mother Mariko returned to Japan and consequentially remarried and had another son, his little brother En.
