HAIR&EYES Black hair kept short, dark brown eyes. To his mother's woe, he mostly took after his father. He has the sort of face in which you can tell that he is trying to be 'tough', but something about it always comes off as cute. He hates that.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT 4'10”, about 102 lbs. He is naturally a bit athletic, though he doesn't actually play sports and whatnot all that often.

[1] Friends: Hadrian has never been good at making friends. So the ones that he does have, he is very loyal to.
[2] Animals: He likes to take care of them. He has a puppy named Krait, which he takes full responsibility for.
[3] Being a 'Knight': He likes to take on bullies directly, which unfortunately earned him a bully reputation.
[4] Halloween: A good excuse to dress up, and it means getting candy, too!
[5] Adventures: He'll come up with full plots if he's given enough encouragement!
[6] Pumpkin Pie: Or anything sweet with pumpkin, really.
[7] Mother's Cooking: He misses it. That was a huge factor in his early homesickness.
[8] Flying: He isn't very good at it just yet, but with practice he thinks he'll be fine.

DISLIKES
[1] His Temper: He knows that it is the one thing that his mother was always disappointed about.
[2] Working in Groups: If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself... and get all the credit.
[3] His Sister: She always gets him into trouble over stupid things, and plays innocent so people believe her.
[4] Homework: He feels stupid compared to his classmates. It's less terrible when he has help.
[5] Meat: He used to like it, until he really thought about the fact that it's an animal...
[6] Bullies: They usually cause problems for no good reason, and waste everyone's time.
[7] Strict Teachers: They too might scare him a little bit, though he'd never show it.
[8] Crying: His eyes will tear up if he gets hurt, but he'll brush those tears away before anyone can see!

BOGGART Ghosts. Even knowing about them his whole life and going to a school where there are several, he never gets used to it. He once screamed, threw his books, and bolted when one went through the wall ahead of him.

PERSONALITY Hadrian does not let his house define him, and he isn't that proud of it yet. However, he definitely possesses some Slytherin traits. He is a natural leader, more because he knows when to run away and when to challenge something than because he likes to boss people around. He likes to get into some trouble, but not at personal risk. No matter how funny it is to set a firework under a professor's desk, it's not worth the amount of time that he would have to spend making it up to them. Unless his temper is ignited, he thinks about everything before acting. Hell, he even thinks about and judges other peoples' actions for them!

When he first arrived at Hogwarts, he had exactly two modes – angry, and sullen. But within a week or two, he was opening up more and starting to have fun. Even if he didn't have the best concentration, and he didn't feel like he was as good as his classmates at most things, he was determined to get better. He didn't make friends immediately, which led to him always thinking that he had to handle things himself. He never volunteers to work in a group even now, unless it is with one of the students that he has gotten closer to.

He is smart in his own way. He might not be good with books, but he can figure things out, always finding a way out of a problem. And he isn't afraid to get hurt or get into a little bit of trouble if he thinks that he might learn something from it. He's also still at the age where he likes to play pretend, and exploring the castle or trying to catch a good glimpse of the squid are some of the ways that he fulfills that. In his mind, it's quite the epic quest, even if it seems boring or weird to someone else.

Despite his tough exterior, Hadrian gets embarrassed easily. His whole face gets red, and his ears, and down his neck. It's usually compliments that really get him... And girls. He hasn't really gotten interested in them romantically, but he still feels nervous around them when they get close.

HISTORY The product of an affair, Hadrian has only ever really been close to his mother. His father had another family, and a daughter with a woman that he had gone to school with, and that seemed to be where he wanted to stay. However, he does see his father every summer for a week or so, and in that time, he got to know his older sister a little bit. He kind of wishes that he hadn't.

Amide was just about the sweetest and most innocent thing... Or at least she wanted her parents to think that she was. When Hadrian would come over, she would get jealous of the attention that he got. And from their early years, she would provoke him until he did something to hurt her like pull her hair, making it seem like he was just a bad kid. His father, not really knowing better, would always get angry with him for it. So he has never felt that comfortable speaking with his father about anything, especially not Amide.

He has always been close to his mother, and kind of feels weird at Hogwarts without her. Even though he is onto his second year, he still feels a bit lonely. It doesn't help that his older half-sister is in the same house that he is in. He actually tried to persuade the hat to put him elsewhere, but it seems that there is something in Hadrian the hat saw that he did not. He had trouble making friends, in part because he naturally looked rather standoffish. And he had trouble in school, as he was unable to concentrate for very long periods. But he still feels that this is where he belongs, and doesn't let thoughts of failure get him down for long.
