BOGGART Conall fears cowardice. He fears the moment he is forced to make the decision to run from something, rather than face it.

PATRONUS Grey wolf. Conall fits the ‘lone wolf’ stereotype to a T. He’s never had much of a family, and it’s hard for him feel like he belongs to a group, regardless of his time with it.
PERSONALITY
Having lived a rather isolated life since birth, Conall is a highly independent person. Due to his lack of contact with others in his early childhood, he’s developed a very taciturn disposition, characterized by limited speech and a reserved demeanor. Regardless of this, he is a very cordial person, never outright denying the conversation or company of others.

Conall is capable of aggression, but most often uses it to end confrontation. He never takes personal offense, as in his opinion “words are wind.” However, in the case of those he cares for, offense is a matter of honor, which feels duty bound to defend. With his lack of relationships, however, this is a very rare occurrence. Regardless, he has a rather stringent set of morals instilled in him by the only family he had.

It’s difficult for Conall to change his mind, after he has set it to something, as he feels that he has evaluated every angle of a decision and, as such, his judgement is already sound. He’s more often than not the kind to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

HISTORY
Conall MacTavish is the product of an unfortunate encounter between a young muggle woman, Ailsa, and the notoriously loose pureblood, Sebastien Moreau. Moreau has quite the brood of bastards, and Conall is one of his last, followed only by a handful more. Ailsa, ever the optimist, was perfectly content to raise her son with the help of her own father.

They lived fairly apart from others a rural area, taking many a happy trip in to nearby towns. As such, Conall was kept fairly separate from other children, and really only had his mother and grandfather for company. This did not bother him terribly, and proved a blessing, as neither of the two had expected Conall's first expressions of magic. They found no issue in it, encouraging him all the way in his "tricks." When Conall's Hogwarts letter arrived, the two were thoroughly surprised, having been unaware that such institutions existed. However much they hated for him to be taken away, all of them, including the young boy himself thought it for the best.  

Unfortunately, during his fourth year, his grandfather, Ewen, died of natural causes, and Conall dove headlong in to his studies, hoping to be greatly successful and support the only family he had left. Following graduation however, his mother too passed away, taking with her his incentive for finding good work. Rather than waste his time on something he hated, he made the decision to take on a job he could love. 

Currently, Conall is sticking to his plan and runs a bookshop dealing in old and rare books. Much of his time is his shop, restoring and researching his acquisitions.
