BOGGART Antia is majorly freaked out by snakes. Maybe its the way they slither, their beady looking eyes, or perhaps its the large venomous fangs that have something to do with it. She’s never quite pin pointed the exact reason, but ever since her grandfather took them to the zoo when she was 8 she’s been afraid of them. Her brother had dared her to volunteer to hold one and it felt like it was squeezing the life out of her hand. Those small eyes...that subtle hiss and the forked tongue...well..its enough to make some kids scream. And Antia just happened to be one of those kids. One of her greatest fears is to be crushed to death by a giant Anaconda and is one of her more persistent nightmares.
MIRROR OF ERISED She would see herself owning her own studio with all the nice bells and whistles. She'd also see someone else there, a significant other who finally convinced her to open up to a serious relationship.
PATRONUS Her patronus takes the form of a Scarlet Macaw. She is a free spirit who loves to fly and hates being locked in a cage.
PERSONALITY
Creative- Antia's very artistic and always has been. She loves creating and thinking up new idea's. Her biggest interest is photography and she tends to excel in that field. However she loves to dabble around in many other fields of art as well. During her 4th year at Hogwarts it was painting. In her 2nd year it was dance, though she quickly came to find that she was far to clumsy on her feet to take it on as a full time hobby. She even tried her hand at sculpting in her 6th year, but that didn't pan out to well either, though her failed projects were perfect for target practice.
Eccentric- Antia has an odd way of thinking, speaking, and acting. People usually equate her to a witty individual one moment, then a child of 5 years old the next. She can be extremely random, almost to the point of appearing scatter-brained, but everything she does has a purpose. Even if it may not seem like it at the time or doesn't happen to pan out in the long run, in her mind everything will always make sense (even if no one can understand it except for herself).
Energetic- Antia is a very energetic person. She sometimes appear to be on a permanent caffeine buzz and when she isn't anyone relatively familiar with her will know that something is seriously wrong. Isolde is always bouncing around or randomly dancing around when doing her work or focusing. Some would say she's extremely ADHD but she's able to focus just fine, she just likes to be moving around while doing said focusing.
Friendly- Antia is an extremely friendly person. She prefers making friends to making enemies, to much wasted energy in her opinion. She makes a conscious effort to be pleasant to everyone she encounters for the first time, unless of course they're determined to piss her off then she'll reciprocate the attitude.
Intelligent- Antia is intelligent. She always had good grades in school except for in Divination and Herbology. She enjoys learning about new things, especially if they're fun or artistic. She likes getting a bunch of books on different topics and just reading about something new depending on her mood. Sometimes its about cooking, or gardening, or some new artistic venture she wants to try out.
Self-Sufficient- Antia can take care of herself. She doesn't need anyones help to get things done if she doesn't want it. Be it opening jars, killing bugs, or telling off some creep thats been bothering her at the bar and breaking his nose.
Passionate/Protective- Antia is a very passionate person. She throws herself into anything she does, especially her art. She will throw her heart and soul into her art and will defend it to anyone who try's to tear it down. She will also do the same for her friends and family. She will defend her friends and siblings until there's no breath left in her body.

HISTORY Antia’s story starts, as most peoples do, with her parents. Torin and Kathleen were married when Kathleen was right out of school. Kathleen had been on of the prettiest girls in school and had attracted the attention of Torin, though he was a year older then her and they had very little in common. He was handsome though and she wouldn’t have to work for a living. So they were married and moved to Waterford, Ireland, were their first two children, Aedan and Antia, were born. However a year after Antia’s birth Kathleen became very ill, causing the family to move to Dublin to be nearer the Hospital.
However hard the doctors tried to make her better she remained ill and had to go to therapy weekly and take many medications to keep her happy. During this time it became no secret inside the house hold, even to young Aedan and Antia, that Torin began seeing other women. Torin and Kathleen often fought and yelled about his infidelity until Kathleen had to retire to her room from the toll it took on her in her weakened state. Because of this Aedan and Antia spent most of their early childhood being cared for by a nanny or their grandparents.
Antia particularly liked being looked after by their grandmother Caoilinn. She would tell them mythical stories and take them to visit their grandfather as his wand making shop. Antia was fascinated by all the different woods and wand cores and made her grandfather promise that when it came time for her to go to Hogwarts he would make her a special wand. He chuckled and promised her he would, also promising Aedan a wand as well.
When Antia was 5 it came as a surprise to the family that Kathleen had another child, a daughter she named Morrigan. At first their grandparents suspected infidelity because of the strained relationship between Kathleen and Torin, but Torin confirmed that the child was indeed his. At first Antia and Aedan thought this meant that their parents had made up, but that hope was dashed two months later when the fighting resumed because of Torin bringing one of his women home one night.
The children grew used to their mother shutting herself away up in her room and their father’s infidelity. Antia would spend most of her time outside, trying to get Aedan to play Quidditch with her, even though their brooms couldn't go more then 5-10 feet off the ground. Antia longed for the day to come when she could get a real broom and fly as high and as fast as she wanted. She imagined herself flying away to London and having adventures along the coast or even across the sea by broom. A silly notion, she realized later, since the sea was so large.
Once Aedan went away to Hogwarts Antia tried to get her little sister to play Quidditch with her, but Morrigan was terrified of flying and preferred playing dress up with their mothers make up and old clothes. Understandable for a 6 year old really, but it caused the days that year to pass an excruciatingly slow rate. She took to visiting her grandparents as much as she could to get away from her house. Her father had started bringing his women home regularly which caused her mother to be surly and lock herself away even more often then usual, so Antia just preferred to be elsewhere. So she helped her grandfather in his wand shop, sweeping up and dusting to keep herself busy, she hated being still for to long.
The came the glorious day. Her Hogwarts letter arrived. She was so ecstatic she couldn’t contain herself and went running around the yard in leaps and bounds cheering for joy until her mother told her to come inside because she was being to noisy. But she was thrilled, every day she asked when they could go get her school supplies. So much so that even her little sister who had the temperament of an angel became annoyed at her. She was appeased somewhat by a visit from her grandfather who came bearing a very special gift for Antia. Her wand.
He told her that, just as he had made Aedan’s specially for him, he had made one for her as well. It was one of the prettiest things Antia had ever seen. It was 8 inches long and made of Hawthorn wood harvested on Beltane with the tail feather of an Augurey as the core. Along the bottom of the wand before the handle started her grandfather had carved very small celtic knot work band circling the shaft. Antia was thrilled, she had never seen a wand so perfect aside from her brothers.
Her excitement was somewhat dashed about a week later. Her father told her they would be ordering all of her school supplies and having them delivered to the house instead of taking her to get them like they had with her brother. Her mother wasn’t able to take her and her father said he was to busy with work and not to bother her grandparents about it either. She sulked, it wasn’t fair. She hadn’t gotten to go last year when they took her brother because she had stayed home with their mother, who had been having a fairly bad turn that day. She brushed it off somewhat grudgingly though because she was still going to Hogwarts and nothing was more exciting.
Her first day at Hogwarts was amazing. Her grandparents had come to see her and her brother off from London. Their mother wasn’t able to leave the house and their father said he needed to work. The train rise was long, but well worth it once they got to the castle. She was sorted into Gryffindor which was a slight disappointment since she was in a different house then her brother, but still amazing. Hogwarts was everything she dreamed it was and more. The only part that she didn’t like was the homework. She tended to forget about it or get distracted by something else very easily. Still she managed good grades by the end of the year with the help of her brother.
The next few years went by pretty much the same. She loved being at Hogwarts more then at home, though she did miss her little sister and grandparents. That got a little easier when Morrigan started her first year at Hogwarts though in Antia’s 5th year. Though that Christmas would be a hard one because their mother passed away just before Christmas holiday. Their father wouldn’t tell them how she died, but Antia could venture a guess or two. Their mother had been severely depressed for years, even though they had always told the children she had a disease that caused her to be this way, Antia knew better. She knew that their mother most likely took her own life, but wouldn’t share that with anyone except Aedan who shared her suspicions.
Their father seemed un-phased by Kathleen’s death, which came as no shock to the family. What did come as a shock was that by summer time their father announced that he had found a new wife. Nessa Hayes, the woman who used to be his secretary. Antia and Aedan couldn’t stand Nessa, she even wore on sweet Morrigan’s nerves. Nessa had an obsession with throwing parties and dressing up Antia and Morrigan in fancy gowns and pulling hairstyles. She also had an obsession with trying to set Aedan and Antia up with other eligible people around their age. Morrigan was lucky enough to be spared since she was still so young, but as Aedan approached 17 the parties and set up’s during the holidays seem to increase. It was the same in Antia’s case so she took to hiding out on a remote balcony of the house during these parties.
After graduation Antia went to work for Witch Weekly after a few failed attempts to work for the Daily Prophet. She had always loved taking pictures so she opted to become a sports photographer and columnist. She wasn’t very good at writing at first and was put on the gossip columns for the first year there. Over the next two years she began to improve in her writing skills and began to write more for the fashion columns of the magazine, but what really excelled in was her photography. She began to freelance on the side for small tabloids and magazines and earned enough money to get a house in London, far far away from her father and step mother and the seemingly endless blind dates.
Eventually she stopped being a columnist and became a full on freelance photographer, working independently for Witch Weekly, the Daily Prophet, and various Sports Magazines. She turned her attic into a photo studio, and now has dreams of making enough money to buy a full studio one day.

RP SAMPLE.
It had been a long day for miss Antia O'Shea. Her dreams of owning her own photography studio seemed very far away as she hadn't gotten one gallery, magic or muggle, to agree to display her work. It was frustrating to say the least. The red head marched down the street to her house in an angry huff. Why did her brother always have to be right? He had said she wouldn't be able to be a professonal photographer, that she'd always be stuck working for the tabloids and sport magazines. She really hated him some days.
She marched up to her door, slamming it shut behind her and locking it with a flick of her wand. She needed a good stiff drink. She chucked her portfolio on the floor along with her purse, kicking off her heels, before making her way to the living room where a half empty bottle of the finest muggle whiskey she could find sat. She plopped onto her white couch and grabbed the bottle, not bothering to find herself a glass, and took a nice long drink. She loved the burn of the whiskey as it made its way down her throat. Whiskey made everything better.
After about an hour the bottle was empty and it had gotten dark. Tia heaved a heavy sigh, flicking her wand to light the fireplace. She put the bottle back on the coffee table and leaned her head back against the couch. This was getting ridiculous. At this rate she'd be dead of a failed liver by 30. She needed a better job though...she hated working for the newspapers and tabloids, they were always so boring with what they wanted. The sports magazines weren't to bad...but work was never consistent. Her brother, the perfect child, had told her she should just becoming a flying tutor, but she didn't fancy herself a teacher. It was beginning to look appealing though…At least it would be somewhat consistent work.
