HAIR&EYES Melanie's hair is a red-brown, it usually hangs somewhere around her collar bone. The longest she has had her was just above the middle of her back. Its usually somewhat curly, or it will be curled, straightened, or thrown about in some disorganized mess. Melanie's eyes are blue, usually very bright. Most say its her only good part to her.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT Melanie stands around 5'3". She's shorter than the national average but she embraces the shortness and doesn't let it hinder her. Melanie roughly weighs between 110-115 pounds. It always depends on how she feels and how she eats as well that month.

BOGGART 
Melanie's boggart is death. As in death himself, the sythe, and black robe. After her mother died just before she was three, shes been afraid of death ever sense. It might be because she refuses to accept the death or that shes afraid of what her mother will think of her. 
MIRROR OF ERISED 
Melanie's mirror of erised is her family going back to what it was when she was a baby. Melanie has no memories of her mother but when her dad is in the right mood he will talk about his late-wife. Melanie deeply blames her half sister Ahna for her mothers death and wishes her to be out of the picture.
PATRONUS 
Melanie's patronus is a cougar. The cougar is swift and never overuses movement when its needed. Everything is planned so the cougar gets what it wants much like Melanie in her life to get people to notice her. The cougar prefers being alone, but takes down the easiest prey that can be found. Melanie prefers to be alone to a point, and will take down those who she knows she can pick on easily.
PERSONALITY 
Melanie is usually seen as rude, crude, and disrespectful. She doesn't usually socially interact with people, expect for the only person she truly trusts. This person being Gareth Thompson. Melanie is someone who doesn't deal with rumors, lies, or anything else about her that goes around the school. Having been in a few fights with people who have said things about her in a cruel way. Mostly about her family life, making her lash out and turn to alcohol.



Melanie's anger chargers her to be the way she is. Either the way her interaction with her dad feeds it or having to see her half sister every day. Melanie uses those around her to get what she wants, even at your despair. While her father thinks its all his fault for not banishing her half sister, Melanie does it to spite him. She doesn’t believe in blood royalty as much as those who are pure deserve to be treated the best.
Melanie is usually determined to prove her father wrong, though he usually ships her off to a hospital. Usually using her cunning and spite on her sister, she usually curses her if they’re home alone. Either making her immobile or making her enable to talk to their father, they try to get rid of Ahna in the Odair manor.

Although she’s driven to get what she wants, and is even able to charm Gareth into doing whatever she wants.
While she comes off stand-offish, she is able to make a good impression for her family name and to keep her family in a good light. While most people look down on her family she tries her hardest to make her family look good after the horrible tragedy that happened to her mother. While she’s willing to change to make her name better and she adapts to make her look more appealing, mainly for Gareth’s family.

HISTORY 
Melanie grew up in a single father home. This caused her quite a few problems of her own. Her mother died just after her third birthday, the full understanding of what happened is unknown to Melanie. Melanie’s father is keeping secret other than she has a sister, Ahna, who she must treat as they are truly related.


The truth behind what happened that fateful afternoon, is that Ahna’s true mother ended up killing Melanie’s. Belle, Ahna’s mother, was mad that Oriane had the life that she wanted. This caused her to fight Oriane while she was setting up for Melanie’s birthday. The two ended up fighting, while Oriane muttered the killing curse, Belle got her in the neck with a knife. Making both girls grow up without a mother. While their father, Brian, tried to raise the girls he grew hate for Ahna and favorited Melanie. Though Melanie pulled away and grew resentment towards her dad. This drew her to alcohol and her best friend, Gareth. Although, that situation is also difficult for the Odair family.


Brian thought that he was helping his daughter by trying to get rid of Gareth in her life. This caused them to fight one night after Melanie had gone to her room. However the noise and commotion cause Melanie to wake and catch the two fighting in the living room and watching Ahna interfere. She sided with her best friend, and love, making her dad draw away from her life entirely. He now only takes part in her life during the summer when he tries to ship her away to his late wife’s family or to a hospital.
