PERSONALITY Anthony still has the somewhat unfair reputation of being pompous and too serious, but most of that is when he is at work. He can sacrifice having fun with his co-workers in order to take care of his patients. His bedside manner is not lacking in the least, however. While he is working he puts aside all of his own problems and reads into what is going on right in front of him. While young Anthony was toeing the line between Ravenclaw and Slytherin (due to his high ambition), adult Anthony is more a cross between a Ravenclaw and a Hufflepuff (due to his hard-working ways). His Ravenclaw traits are still very obvious in that he is always trying to learn new things and correct his mistakes, and one of his favorite things to do on his own is learn new spells and read up on the latest medical information.
He had difficulty in his youth expressing his emotions, but having a loving wife and family has opened him up that way. Lorena changed his mind about Slytherins, and later about love as a whole. He sees each of his children for who they are... except that he tries very hard not to notice certain things, like Caeden's promiscuity. He has an idea what is going on, but he doesn't want to open up that can of worms. It is the same with his daughter Emma; he doesn't want to think that she has ever been with a boy. He would do anything for any member of his family, with the exception of one thing. Anthony has tried his best to keep Lorena's cousin Javier out of the picture due to the rumors of torture circling after the war. Anthony has a strict policy on morals, and he doesn't particularly want to have his sons and daughter associating with a suspected Death Eater.
It is that rigid line of morality that Anthony is most known for these days. He does things because he knows that they are right, and he doesn't see that many shades of gray. When he meets someone the first impression really hits him, and it's hard for him to get over it. A lot of the time his guesses are actually quite spot-on. Other times, he is only limiting himself from knowing someone. Anthony, being a half-blood, was always exposed to both the muggle and wizarding worlds, and he makes sure that his children know both worlds as well since it is part of who they are.

Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right, and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort.

HISTORY Due to his background Anthony grew up knowing both the muggle and wizarding worlds, so it wasn’t strange at all when he was accepted at Hogwarts. He performed some interesting spells when he was too young to have a wand of his own, and was in the bad habit of stealing his mother’s wand to attempt magic. Nothing bad ever really came of it, though there were a few slight incidents in which he flickered the lights or sent the water of a swimming pool over other children (that time without a wand). Other than that he was a perfectly well behaved boy with an ordinary childhood. You know, aside from the magic and muggle worlds being meshed together.
His years at Hogwarts went by rather quickly (to him) as he spent most of his time focused on studies. He did have time for a social life, though, since the work came easy to him. He befriended Terry Boot and Michael Corner early on. In his fourth year he was slightly interested in the possibility of entering the tournament but of course he didn’t. In fact, he was always obedient even when he was having a good time. His record is clean and he respects the school. He quite hated Umbridge when she was there since his father worked for the Ministry, and he didn't want to tarnish his reputation by accident.
Over the summer before his sixth year, Anthony met the woman that would eventually be his wife. He was rather uncertain about the relationship at first, given the fact that she was a Slytherin, but being around her eventually convinced him that she didn't have an ulterior motive for being with him. She just liked him for who he was, and it wasn't long at all before he was falling in love with her.
Lorena and Anthony did have their share of problems, of course. Anthony's uptight nature made him have some difficulty in expressing the way that he felt about her. Especially when it came to the physical things. He never wanted to be anything less than a gentleman. And things got worse when they were in their seventh year. Anthony was allowed back to the school because he was a half-blood, but he was afraid that if Lorena was seen with him, she would be treated less kindly than she was for being a Slytherin. And worse, the two agreed that they would keep themselves from being hurt in order to protect the other, but Anthony was a prefect and would do anything to help his classmates. That meant that from time to time he got on the bad side of the Carrows and was hurt anyway. When Lorena found out that he had broken their promise and that he had been hiding his injuries from her, she left him.
Of course, that was temporary. The two of them needed each other to get through the school year, and besides, they both knew that the other was the one that they were meant to be with.
The wizarding war made Anthony's priorities change somewhat. His mother went into hiding as a muggleborn, and Anthony was compelled to fight in the final battle. He saw a lot of injuries that he hadn't had to deal with before... And he did what he could for people, remembering the times when he'd see his mother caring for people at St. Mungo's. So it was a natural fit that once he left school he abandon his previous ambitions to be an auror or the Minister. His personality and skills made him a much better doctor than fighter or leader. And Lorena went into the same field as him. The two of them worked together at St. Mungo's.
Caeden and Caelen, the twins, came first and a year later followed Emma. Matthew was a surprise to Anthony, but he wasn't disappointed at all. Their family obviously just wasn't finished growing. By coincidence, each of their children were placed into different houses. Caeden to Slytherin, Caelen to Ravenclaw, and Emma to Gryffindor. It's a joke within the family that Matthew would probably end up a Hufflepuff when he came of age.
