PERSONALITY The youngest of three siblings, Charlie decided at a young age to carve her own path in the world and in her family. She wouldn't dare try to compete with her older sister in looks or charm, and she wouldn't have tried to compete with her brother in cunning. So it was that she decided if she couldn't compete, she could be good at something else. She could focus on her music. Already naturally gifted, she spends nearly every moment of her free time working on her music, and has been known to use her gifts as a means of flirtation or showing off. She also occasionally enjoys letting loose a bit, and knows how to have a good time.
She is intuitive, knowing generally how to avoid conflict with her siblings and others, which she aspires toward most of the time. She has a tendency to feel emotions very strongly, and despite all of the circumstances that complicate her family relationships, she is extremely and unquestioningly loyal to both siblings and her parents. She is proud of her heritage and her blood status, but cannot carry that pride so far that it allows her to regard those of other status as automatically hated beings simply because they were born outside her circle. This is a trait that makes her unique from the rest of her family. While she accepts that she must only date purebloods for the sake of appearances, this is by no choice or affinity of her own.

Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right, and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort.

HISTORY
Born in a sprawling family manor on the outskirts of Dublin which more closely resembled a castle than a house, Charlie lacked for nothing growing up. She did, however, feel overshadowed by her older sister from a very young age. Beautiful, charming, and clever, Cassandra was everything Charlie wished to be, and she knew it. Charlie resented Cassandra's obvious narcissism and sought to overcome her perceived shortcomings by excelling in an area her sister could not: music. It is a mystery where Charlie inherited her musical ability from, since no one else in her family has any affinity for it. As a result, music became a sort of outlet, allowing her to revel in something which was her own. Upon arriving to Hogwarts at age eleven, Charlie quickly located an empty classroom in which she could practice, since the majority of her dorm mates did not appreciate her late practicing habits. She also spends a great deal of time writing and practicing outdoors when the weather permits.
At sixteen, she is still searching for her place in the world, dreaming of the day when she'll be able to make a profession of the music she loves and avoiding her sister by any means necessary. She is, at points, maybe a bit too focused on her goals, but she is also determined to enjoy her time at school, preferring to surround herself with people who enjoy living life as much as she does. She is the type to enjoy experiences over material things, since she has plenty of the latter and a lesser amount of the former.

RP EXPERIENCE? Twelve years or so?
RP SAMPLE. The hour was late and Charlie could barely see the notes she'd been scribbling for the past three hours. She'd come directly here from dinner, locked the door firmly behind her, and set to writing. It had taken her ages to find a soundproofing spell, but she used it often on nights like this when a song begged to be written and there weren't enough hours in the day. She studied the chord progression, strumming through it with sore fingers. Something just didn't sound quite right, but she couldn't put her finger on it, literally. The notes began to swim in front of her eyes again, and she blinked hard, shaking her head and running her fingers through her hair. She wanted so badly to finish this tonight!
A rueful glance out the window as she realized with a start that the first rays of sun had crept up and over the horizon. How had she managed to spend the entire night here...again? She pulled the guitar strap over her head, laying it carefully next to her and went to the window to watch the sunrise. Ah well, another morning of sleeping through History of Magic wouldn't hurt, it wasn't as if she needed to know it anyway. The rays of warm, amber light spread, painting the sky a vivid purple first, followed by a lighter pink the color of her mother's roses. She rubbed her eyes, stretched a moment and yawned before turning back to collect her guitar and her discarded sheet music. She left the room as she'd found it, empty with only the silent echos of the notes and lyrics she'd uncovered there.
