GIFT Ryan can be described as a walking Sonar. His hearing is sensitive enough he can locate just about any source of a given sound. It's good enough that he can navigate himself around in the dark by talking to himself. During the day he wears earplugs to make sounds an average volume. This can't be turned off ever.
PERSONALITY

Ryan is one of those kids that hate their first name. Gilbert is the one name he wished he never was given. For being a Spanish kid he got stuck with most ugly, old time English name. Even Gil sounds like it was scarped off the kitchen floor and called a name. So as a result he corrects even and tells them, not asking them, tells them to call him Ryan. He also signs everything as Ryan rather than his first name. His parents often protest to him being called Ryan, so they call him Gilbert, his given name. So when people call him Gilbert it often turns out an argument if they disagree with his name choice. Regardless he doesn't like his first name.

Ryan is also slightly egotistical. He literally thinks he is amongst the best people in the world. If he had a choice he would put himself as the most famous person on the planet, but of course he's just a highschool student with below average academics. Ryan often makes himself sound like some kind of god. When people arn't staring and giving him attention he does something to pull it in. Wither it's running naked through the corridors or making a song that infects everyone's head to sing along with him. Ryan however doesn't put himself as better then anyone else, he just makes himself self important.

Ryan is openly gay! He has no problem running about and openly talking about how some guys are hotter than others. That being said he isn't one of the really uptight gays that hate non-politically correct terms. If you call him i shouldn't use this word because it is rude or queer he will just laugh and agree because to him it's just a synonym for being gay. Ryan is open to all the flaming about gays because he tends to prove them wrong. Most people would never guess he was gay, maybe at most bi-curious. Due to his size most people don't like to insult him when he says he's gay, when others are flaming on another gay. When straight people, or any one bashes any other gay person but himself his temper raises to a break point when he would have them pinned with his wand to their neck. This applies to anyone who threatens his lover, except they wont get such mercy.

HISTORY

Ryan was born as Gilbert Ryan Fates, his full name being English like his mother. He however is only half English, more specifically Scottish. His father on the other had was a hardcore Spanish man. So Matilda moved to Spain with her husband and had their children there. Ryan's older sister and parents were all muggles and he was the only magical one out of them all. Being in a multicultural household her learn both English and Spanish from the moment he was born, but of course he would only end up using Spanish in public.

His family didn't believe in magic so when he showed them they literally thought it was some kind of trick. So as a result his school literally had to pose as a normal school for him to go to. So that's what he did. Ryan went to school in Spain and had the time of his life there. Well for the most part. He was gay and a muggle born, probably amongst the worst combination ever. There was the obvious bullying which he endured because at the time he was a short and scrawny kid. One night while he was sleeping he was thrown out of his bed and pinned to the floor, and some peers decided to carve mudblood into his chest with their wands leaving it as a scar. After that he left the school for a year before heading to Hogwarts.
