HAIR&EYES His blond hair has been slowly turning brown for the last three years. His green eyes are as pale as jade and the one feature his mother sees his father in more then anything else. Since he got it this summer on his birthday, he has worn the Shire signet ring on his finger every day, obsessively almost.

BOGGART Losing his mother
MIRROR OF ERISED Revenge on his uncle, but only as a part of a whole. The whole is to build his family up in a secure spot, assuring the next generation spreads wide. He just sees his uncle as a part of the overall threat.
PATRONUS The orangutan because of their social behavior (part of a group but still a loner) and the fact kids stay with their moms for five years, the longest in the animal kingdom.
DIVINATION Kendrick has the ability of Oinomancy and has thus been under special tutelage outside the school because of it's rarity. It does not run in the family, but it will one day give him good status. As it is he is already listed as a minor seer with the Ministry for his skill.
PERSONALITY
Kendrick unknowingly has a lot of his father's traits, though his mother hasn't told him all of them. From swimming and sleeping to posing without meaning to, Kendrick shares his father's love of the sun on his skin and the water around his body. But he has his mother too from loving sweets to being quietly thinking things through and he has always loved making snow men and sculptures with her in the yard when it snows hard. He adores his mother and while he can not dance (he has two left feet for sure) he keeps himself slim and muscled with hard work so she doesn't have to do so much around the house, a swimmer's form. He has his mother's grace in his movements though.

Something most have not realized yet except his sister is that when he needs to protect someone, Kendrick can be quite cruel to anyone coming after him he has to defeat. And while he doesn't always win (he takes that very personally), when he does he crushes his opponents after winning to make sure they will never ever consider doing it again. Before he could use a wand, he would use his arms and has become a quite talented boxer, never letting anyone hit him in the face. And because of that he has his father's interest in dark magic as well, not fearing to use it on those who would hurt his family and maybe, maybe with an idea of revenge on his uncle someday. And though his mother has not said it, he knows she has some very bad feelings towards his uncle as well.

His mother's arms are still the best place in the world.

His time at Hogwarts has surprisingly developed his attitude in different ways. While he does have a streak of the vicious in him, he is more often kind and thoughtful, willing to put himself in harm's way to protect others, but not as a random hero. While he can be very brave in doing so, he does not risk his flesh for those he does not like nor know. He studies odd subjects (Astrology, Divination, and Arithmancy his favorites) and excels at curses and their counters. He does okay with plants and creatures, but has to really work to get far with the other classes. Kendrick has already passed his appiration test and plans on being a curse breaker he hopes, though his real pride came in inheriting the Shire family home along with his sister. His hopes he speaks about with his sister of restoring the family numbers and the old home seems a place they can both do that.

When he wants something, he works hard at it, able to focus well on his subjects when he needs to, but in outside work as well. Over time he has developed a certain handiness with his skills, being able to fix things around the house and build some stuff as well, the real limit of what charms he is good at not to mention yard work. And finally, despite a couple of girlfriends (both of whom he didn't get extremely "into" and who dumped him later for not being easily controllable), he is not one to cast his heart easily, much like his mother. While not uninterested, he does not see love as the best thing ever so he is thinking he will have to get a wife by contract, offering money, house, and security in wealth in exchange for a number of boys for him. In this his mother may have passed on too much of her own past to her son.

HISTORY
Kendrick was born five minutes before his sister Alice in Killarney, Ireland, and grew up without a father. Eight months before they were born Voldemort had their father, Nathaniel Shire killed. His mother Shey had loved Nat deeply and secretively. Only one person knew of her love, and it wasn’t Nat, but Nat's killer Daniel Ashton. Nat did not even find out of her love until the last few minutes of his life. So when Shey had found out Voldemort’s plans to end the Shire bloodline, she asked Nat to impregnate her so it could continue, and so she would always have a piece of him with her. But the last thing she expected was to be having twins. Only three months into her pregnancy, she left Hogwarts and went home. Her father was not pleased at all that she was pregnant and pestered her all the time about who the father was, but she never told him, she never told anyone except Nat’s sister Isabella.

When the twins were two their mother married a man named Justin Green, and Kendrick liked him okay, but something told him something was wrong. He accepted him form a young age, but he was totally a mama's boy, clinging to the one parent he 'felt' was really his. He knew Justin was not his real father, but he also never really warmed up completely to him, accepting because his mother loved him. Alice found out about their father's death at fourteen and told him and everything changed. It was actually an accident that she heard what she did, their mother was telling a cousin Jack about it and she had over heard, now she hates her Uncle Daniel more than anything. In this detail the twins are dead set together, but otherwise they grew into very different teens.

As his years at Hogwarts progressed, Kendrick remained a serious teen, not as emotional as his sister but with a mind set speaking of long term plans. He wants to give his mother a large number of grandchildren to enjoy and maybe by filling the house send a message to his never-met father that the family will continue and that he did a good thing by allowing his mother to preserve them. Hopefully by doing so he can find a way to set his father's troubled spirit to rest in peace and help his mother feel everything has come full circle, a healing the family could use. If he knew his father's enemies still thrived (beyond his uncle) he would be hard pressed not to add murder to his future goals. As it is, peace and fruitfulness are his main goals in life.

Turning to her he said "It's okay, Grace, I think whatever it was is done." glancing out the open window. He smiled at her though, appearing to be (and in his head he was) calm and in control having just slammed the door on the little creatures behind her and then stuck his wand out the window to make them go away she thought. "Kind of freaky all those squirrels going crazy, wasn't it?" The girl nodded as she left, forgetting about the encounter within a few minutes, though seeing squirrels all running at you at once was unnerving. Kendrick watched her go, a pleasant enough expression in his face. Grace was a housemate of his sister's and for some reason he could not explain he always felt like he should protect her, not that he knew why. It wasn't like she was family, he barely knew her. Odd the way life works sometimes.

As he turned though towards the window his normally pleasant demeanor fell away from his face and eyes. Looking out the window at the boy below who was bound with rope and glaring up at him, Kendrick did something that only his sister would not have been surprised at. Slipping through the window he landed on the grass and looked at the younger lad, whose wand was still lying in the grass where he had been controlling the squirrels from. Bending down he said to him "I don't know, Bendy Lesher, if you had meant that as a joke or what, but you did scare her. And for that you need to be taught a lesson." Without giving the other a chance to reply he stood and kicked him in the kidneys twice, then carefully lined up the side of his shoe and smacked it hard into the boy's face, smacking his head back from where he had been doubling over and then walked away purposefully stepping on the wand with a satisfying snap, turning his foot on it the same time to increase the fracture of the thin wood.

Glaring at the boy who was not looking at him with tears running down his face and a big shoe imprint on his cheek, he pointed anyway because it felt right. "You scare her again, Bendy, and I won't be using just my feet you craven little bastard." Point made, he walked back inside and headed across towards dinner in the Great Hall. Let the little sneaky snake get out of his own bonds and crawl for awhile. Snakes crawled all the time, right? A flash of lightning at the same instant there was thunder and Kendrick grinned suddenly, turning back to the door and closing it behind him, wizard locking it as he heard the rain begin. "Snakes belong in the water anyway, it's their element so I'm only helping him get stronger," he reasoned out loud with a smile as he headed off to dinner, chatting with some friends he picked up along the way.
