HAIR&EYES Kairi has fiery auburn hair that is often unkept, though if she puts an effort into it, it would be curled nicely around her shoulders.  She also will put her hair in a ponytail if necessary, but still prefers to keep it down.  Her green eyes are always bright and sparkling, though when she starts to daydream they become a bit distant.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT Kai is about five foot, seven inches tall, with a slender form.  She weighs a slight 125 pounds.  Her height is only going to increase a bit as she ages, but it will probably end up at around five foot, nine inches.

LIKES

• Daydreaming - she rarely daydreams in classes, but she likes to think about random things when the mood strikes her.
• Dancing - she doesn't have any dancing skills, but she makes up her own dances
• Learning - Kairi is constantly fascinated by the things she does not know
• Unusual things - her favorite things are the things many people don't even consider.  Like wondering how animals think or communicate, the flight patterns of various birds and insects, and other much more silly things.
• Charms and Divination - her two favorite classes
• Xylomancy - she might not be the best at divination, but this one in particular fascinates her.  It relies upon twigs.
• Crazy outfits - she doesn't think they are crazy, but other people would think so.
• Music - she makes up her own songs, usually something nonsensical
• Curious people - someone who will ask the questions always intrigues her

DISLIKES

• Judgmental people - she is accepting of all lifestyles and she wishes others would be to.
• The house system  - she thinks it is stupid and could be done much better
• Relying purely on logic - she does love logic, but she thinks that imagination is also very important
• Vanity - she hates when people think their looks are the most important thing because they are all so much more than their appearance
• Bullies - sort of goes with the judgmental people, but Kairi is often teased for her personality and chosen interests
• Blood elitists - she has no preference about blood status.  Everyone is equal.
• People who don't think outside the box - she wants everyone to understand the way she thinks, but people won't

BOGGART Being completely friendless.  She may be odd and give off an air of not caring about what people think, but friends are very important to her.

PERSONALITY Kairi marches to the beat of a different drum, one that no one else seems to hear or understand.  She is quite the unique individual, and can be highly unpredictable.  She never quite fits in with any group of people, instead spending more time alone than most.  She pretends that this doesn't bother her, but it does sometimes.  Generally a happy-go-lucky person, it would not be surprising to see Kairi skipping down the hallways of Hogwarts between classes.

She is quite clever as well, though her thought processes might be seen as abnormal to most of her peers.  She excels in the forms of magic that use more imagination than logic, though she is also good at the logical side of issues as well.  She likes to see both sides of an opinion, using these to form her own opinion.  Her cleverness helps her to stand out even further at times.

Kairi tries not to let the fact that people tease her or laugh at her for her individualism bother her, but every once in a while it does.  When upset, Kai may find a secret place to hide to cry her feelings out, or she might pretend that nothing is wrong at all, though the skip in her step will be noticeably gone.

HISTORY The ten year difference in age between Alan Eastwood and Kierstin MacDonald drew stares right from the start for their relationship.  People were not comfortable with the age difference at all, but they ignored the stares because of the love they had for each other.  He was thirty when she was twenty years old.  It was purely by accident that Kairi came into existence, but her parents were very pleased.  Soon after finding out Kierstin was pregnant, the two wed in a small ceremony, where her parents did not even make an appearance because they disapproved of the relationship.

After Kairi's birth, maternal grandparents finally came around.  They did not want to miss out on being in their granddaughter's life.  Kairi was spoiled for a long time, given whatever she wanted.  However, she mostly wanted to be given free time to imagine.  And her parents encouraged this, giving her plenty of dress up supplies and telling her stories that she would later act out in play.  She was quite the curious child as well, asking questions about everything she could.  If her parents didn't know the answers, she would try to find them on her own.

Her baby sister was born when she was ten years old.  Her parents had waited for a while to have another child because her mother was so young.  Aimee was an adorable child, taking after her sister for a while because she wanted to be just like "Kai-wee" as she called her.

When Kairi was accepted into Hogwarts the following year, it was fairly certain she would not quite fit in with her peers.  She had not grown out of her imagination phase.  She doesn't try to fit in either, preferring to be happy instead.
