HAIR&EYES Megan has relatively small chocolate brown eyes which sit on either side of her small nose. Her lips are small and thin, but pale and full. Megan has dark brown, shoulder-length hair which frames her face neatly. It is neat and wavy most days. She was never one for overly-cosmetic beauty, so she won’t spend excessively long on things like hair or makeup.

BOGGART She still has the same fear of heights that she had in her teens and childhood, though the Second Wizarding War did wonders for her in terms of bravery; she learnt not to fear relatively trivial things like insects etc. as she did when she was younger. She would, however, hate for her children to experience anything like what she and so many others went through when the Death Eaters took control of Hogwarts sixteen years ago.
MIRROR OF ERISED She always wanted to be someone who would be respected and liked, and feels she has achieved this given the fact that her job involves the helping of others. As mentioned, the Second Wizarding War helped her confidence too, and she is much less wary of people than she was as a student. She is of the opinion that she has achieved her main goals in life, therefore, and can focus now on enjoying herself. For this reason, she would most desire that she can provide well for her children and act a guiding light for them for any problems they should encounter.
PATRONUS Whilst Megan still retains her love for nature and living things from her childhood, her maternal instincts have caused a shift in her Patronus’s form. Her Patronus now takes the form of a leopard, symbolic of the support and protection she will unhesitatingly offer her family.
PERSONALITY Megan is a lot less cautious around other people now, the Second Wizarding War having really put life into perspective for her as it did for so many others. She loves listening to what people have to say and hearing stories of their experiences. She will talk to anyone and usually has good intentions. Having been a victim of blood discrimination in her youth, she tries not to judge anyone prematurely. Megan would still rather have a few close friends than too many, but now is much more confident in making the effort to find them, as opposed to hoping they’ll come to her.

Megan is a loving and compassionate woman, always seeking the best in others; two worthy traits of a magical Healer. She enjoys helping people who require it, and so finds great pleasure in the job she does. She’s open to manipulation in a sense because of her “innocent-until-proven-guilty” method of judging people, but she can usually make an informed judgement of someone who’s bad news.

She’s quite an artistic type, enjoying a variety of pursuits such as playing the piano, writing and drawing. However she’s also always enjoyed swimming, just loving the feeling and fluidity of water in general. She was and still is a very accomplished witch, given the nature of her work and her devout studying as a student at Hogwarts, but is generally better at practical magic than combat magic; Megan has never been one for conflict, though she will take issue with someone if her beliefs are threatened.

HISTORY Megan, before attending Hogwarts, lived a relatively uneventful and secluded life up in Durham in Northern England. She comes from a loving and caring family who have always tried to give her the best quality of life possible, and are able to do this with her parents' respective careers. Despite her relatively decent life in this respect, she has learnt not to take anything for granted and is well aware nothing is ever set in stone. Megan, despite her rationality, is often a sucker for clichés, particularly the view that life is too short for prolonged conflict.

Her parents had always been honest with her from a young age regarding the wizarding world. Being a rational person, Megan first believed this was their idea of a joke and simply didn't pay it much heed to begin with. When it became apparent through persistent mention that they were not joking, they (largely her mother) described everything they knew about Hogwarts and the wizarding world that would prepare her for the life she would soon find herself immersed in. At the age of eleven, Megan received a Hogwarts acceptance letter.

For most of her Hogwarts career, she generally focused on study and achieving as highly as she could. Truthfully, she didn’t know what she wanted to do with her life and took the view that if she strived for excellence, she could choose when it suited her – as long as she achieved highly enough, her options would remain widely open. She achieved great sets of O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s, though in her sixth and seventh years – the Death Eater tenure and its aftermath - she became more confident socially; by no means a social butterfly, but a lot more approachable and more able to approach others. The horrors she saw in those days convinced her that no one should ever be allowed to suffer like some people so horribly did, and thus she would like to do all in her power to prevent those kinds of things, if she could. By this logic, she strived to work in magical healthcare, becoming a magical Healer at St Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

It was through her career that she got to know her would-be husband. Nathaniel Douglas was two years above Megan at Hogwarts, in Ravenclaw house. As such, they had met and exchanged conversations before - they were friendly but nothing more. At St Mungo’s, they bonded over the countless late nights and long shifts they would work, and the mutual love of the job they were doing. They’d have long conversations about a range of things, including their respective childhoods, their years at Hogwarts, their hobbies and interests, and so on. Megan and Nathaniel learnt a lot about each other in a relatively short period of time. Being a hopeless romantic, it wasn’t hard for her to fall in love with someone who seemed to embody many of the characteristics she valued; like her, he was compassionate, trusting, loving and respectful.
