BOGGART
His boggart has shifted a few times in the last ten years. From drowning, his boggart made shape of his family being brutally tortured for having mixed bloodlines of magic and muggle blood. Then it went to darkness. He was alone in the world for a long time and being in darkness made everything worse. As his life went on and he graduate DIOL his boggart was unsure. He never really had time to fear anything. He kept himself busy, and it's been that way ever since. However, some on the outside might say that familiar faces could be his boggart.

MIRROR OF ERISED Ironically enough, his family.
PATRONUS Fox. Always has been? eh. He is still that cunning and witty first year that Snape despised, but with a mature sarcasm thrown in. And now the fox Patronus shows all it's colors because Cobalyn is now a beautiful work of art in the mind and the body. Only took him 10 years to figure himself out.
PERSONALITY

Going through so much so young, and turning into a mature adult at 15 really doesn't suffice as an excuse anymore. He's now beyond 30 and everyday is a reminder that he is getting older. Thus, he keeps his body in perfect condition, his mind stays focused and hopeful and his magic, well he uses it every chance he gets because he loves it so. Deeper still, Cobalyn has a lot of unresolved issues. Things that he has fought back to the far reached of his mind. Things that some could say he never really will resolve, or want to for that matter. This causes him to be bitter or squeamish as certain situations and conversations arise in his presence. He never stays in those positions for very long, and he has become a true master of evading and avoiding the things he dislikes.

As a teacher, his maturity level is at an all time high, as well has his anger management. He teaches the upper teens, so they aren't all completely stupid, though some really try to get under his skin, or in contact with it more likely. He is that attractive older man who could still pass for a mid twenties heart throb that his students yearn for. The fact that he is homosexual has never been divulged to his students, but he is positive that the girls don't know it because they seem to be sexually aggressive toward him, and the guys are clueless because none of them are aggressive at all.

HISTORY TWO PARAGRAPH MINIMUM

After his graduation as a Ravenclaw without parents and three out of the six sibling he grew up with, he moved on from the war and everything. He didn't really know where he was going at first, but he knew that after the mass Downing Family funeral he would stay away from most for a while. In the war, he lost most of his family, his home he grew up in, and his childhood. All in what seemed about five years of time was put into one school year. His 7th year at Hogwarts.

He continued the use of magic when necessary and as the war's end came to pass, he tried the best he could to pick up the pieces. He was in no shape to help his siblings. Being the oldest male in the family, he knew he had to be strong for them. So he was for as long as he could uphold the insane charade. When he couldn't bare it any longer, his sisters had already made up their minds about things and instantly went to work on fixing up the manor. They left it open for Lanny and Cobalyn when ever they would decide to return home. Lanny stayed with his sisters and waited to be a Hogwarts student once more, but Cobalyn went off into London nightlife after that night of "Family Bonding Time." Cobalyn remembers thinking about how it couldn't be that because his parents and other siblings couldn't be there and that his living siblings should have just given it a rest. In that night he lost himself in a wasting spiral that would eventually bring him sober three years later.

A few weeks after his 22nd birthday, Cobalyn realized that he needed to come back to reality. In another drunken stupor in some alley in London, Cobalyn saw something. It was an apartment. It was only a few blocks from DIOL and it was available. He had been a street walker and mooch for the last three years, and he saw this as an opportunity. He went back into a bar and sat down. It was probably around midnight, but he needed to get sober. Sitting in a bar may not have been the best idea, but Coby has never really been normal. Being around temptation like that, and knowing that resisting it would be the only way to get his life back was more effective than anything else. A few hours passed, and even though Coby was actually seeing the world clear and cognitively, alcohol was the only smell one would be receiving from his presence. He went into an alley and snapped his wand around to spruce up the smell. Literally, a spruce tree cologne was fumigating the darkened alley. His clothes were tattered, and those were quickly studded out as well. He was ready to get his life back on track. Though he had to wait till morning.

In this time period, the apartment soon became his and he was ready to reach out to those he loved again. After getting himself back into DIOL and quickly back to where he was, he did reach out. No one answered back for six months. He gave up hope on his family and most of his friends. He graduated DIOL around the age of 24, and began taken the 2 year program in order to teach there. He was also offered prestigeous opportunity and seldom took any offer. He had money and anything he really needed. A professional career isn't really what he had in mind ever, but he did that for a while and took an expanded version of the teacher program. He completed this in a little over three years and since he was 27-28 he has been teaching in season at DIOL and touring as a professional dancer off season.

At age 29, Cobalyn found himself in the middle of class receiving a phone call. It was Jaclyn. One triplet of the set he belonged to. Her first word, "Cobster?" rang in his head. He never thought he would hear her voice again. His class was rehearsing in front of him and as his face lost all color they stopped. By this time Lanny was in the US most likely already passed his BAR exam and defending people as they come, but Jaclyn and Madalyn still live in the manor. The phone call was about how they want him home and how he needs to be there for them. The haunting past he so wanted left dusty was being brushed off and shoved in his face. He hung up the phone. Nothing would allow him to go back and relive his seventh year for the umpteenth time. He wouldn't allow it. As time went on there were phone conversations and letters passed between the four remaining siblings. Nothing ever concrete. Holidays were spent apart and for Cobalyn, usually alone or with whatever fling he had in the time of the year. Since Cobalyn was teaching, could cook and clean, and had his wizarding powers, there was really never a need for anyone else.

On his thirtieth birthday, his class threw him a surprise party. Walking in at 10am he was blasted with the sight of streamers and balloons and smiling faces in street clothes. The party was good and they all made it so they could have this one day break. He was happy about it but there was one child in his class who wasn't. His class all knew they could come to him with anything. Later that evening, Cobalyn received a call from one Sarah Averill. She was a 14 year old who had been in DIOL since she was 12. She was in Cobalyn's class for about a year. In a conversation between the two, the ending result was she was a muggle born witch who saw him use magic and her parents hated her for not being normal. She attends Hogwarts without her parents consent, and now wants Professor Downing to adopt her.

In his current status, he is a proud and confident man doing what he loves. Sarah is now his adoptive daughter and he bumped up to a bigger apartment. The occasional bar scene never makes him relapse, and his life really couldn't get better.  Though every once in a while he remembers that his sisters have told him that he has a lot at the Manor he needs to come obtain. Things that would bring up bad memories and broken pieces of his past. Not only that, but he also knows the real reason he can't find love. The start of the war began with three people, for him anyway. Himself... Danika... and of course, Justin.
