PERSONALITY 

Brier is a bit of an anomaly when compared to the rest of her family. Unlike Keela's free-spirit, or her older brother Cernenus who possesses a thoroughly well-developed sense of family and duty, Brier is ambitious, aware of her good traits as well as her looks, she has no difficulty using either to achieve what she considers just recognition for herself. As Rosalie and Taranis' third child, Brier sometimes feels a bit caught in the middle. As a result, she strives to be impressive, both physically and intellectually. Extroverted and opinionated, she can sometimes come off arrogant and passive aggressive, this is mostly because she is in fact arrogant and passive aggressive at points. She is notoriously proud of her family name, blood status, and looks. While she does not hate those of other financial and blood status, she does consider herself well above them for the most part, and has a tendency to judge based on appearances.

Those things aside, Brier does have a tender streak, mostly due to being raised in the Summerby household. She cares deeply for her family and those few whom she considers friends. While her ambitions do comprise a great deal of her effort, there is a part of her which envies the love her parents and now her older sister have found. She covets approval, and will tend toward compromise to get it. Though there are certain views she maintains regardless, others are fair game for the right person to come along and alter as they wish.

HISTORY 

Brier is the third of Taranis and Rosalie Summerby's four children. She often felt overshadowed by the accomplishments of her over siblings, and hence developed a desire to impress and garner attention from others. Her highly developed sense of ambition earned her a place in Slytherin. Though it felt odd to be separated from her siblings who were all in other houses, Brier rather liked being set apart from the rest. It gave her the opportunity to shine in her own right, which she wanted desperately. Despite her tendency toward dramatics, Brier has led a fairly sheltered life, never having to worry about anything so insignificant as financial security. She has only ever known comfort, and the most difficult obstacles she's faced up to this point are her morning chores, which she often tricked out of her younger siblings growing up.

As a fifth year, Brier sees very little of her sister Keela, who graduated the previous year and is currently travelling with work. She has managed something of a friendship with Keela's fiance Vincent, however, as he is currently a seventh year in her house, and one of her only connections to Keela, with whom she is the closest of the three. She spends a great deal of time studying anti-aging spells and potions, and hopes to develop her own line of products on the side of her political aspirations some day.
