HAIR&EYES Icarus takes much after his father in facial structure and hair color/texture. The color of Icarus’ hair is a deep chocolate brown with natural highlights and lowlights. The texture is very thick, rich, and very soft to the touch. His hair is short and sometimes grows a bit too long before he cuts it off. He prides himself in having very nicely styled hair on a daily basis and won’t even step out from his dorm until his hair is settled. His face is very angular especially with his jaw line and cheekbones which are the most prominent points. His facial structure is very strong and chiseled. His eye color is a vibrant blue color that sparks when he has a strong emotion.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT Icarus stands at a normal height of five foot ten, just shorter than his father, and weighs nearly one hundred and thirty eight pounds.

PERSONALITY
Icarus is a very interesting character indeed and could never be described in one word. He was born with what many would be considered a defect; schizophrenia. His father had this throughout his life and it was only due time for someone else to get it as well and that would be Icarus. Though the schizophrenia does not truly affect him on a daily basis it is still there and causes Icarus to be very paranoid. He snaps to attention as soon as he feels it coming on and becomes very paranoid about what is going on around him.
Without the schizophrenia in his personality Icarus is a very studious and friendly person. He enjoys going to class and doing the work that is given to him as it keeps his mind off of what disease he has. He also very much enjoys making friends to surround himself with especially when they have the same likes and dislikes. He’ll go out of his way to make friends with someone who doesn’t seem too friendly but does it mostly to make himself feel better.
There are also moments when his anger reaches into his skull and squeezes which causes him to have a berserk moment. He’ll scream, shout, and hit anything he can get his hands on until he calms down.
He isn’t the bravest person in the world and would rather sit in the library to study than do something brave per say. He shy’s away from the slightest of fights or arguments and will not get in them if he can help it. Overall Icarus is a very sweet boy with underlying problems that few know about.

HISTORY
Thanatos Beckett, a notorious Death Eater who had escaped the war almost unscathed married a young woman by the name of Kalliope. She was thirteen at the time of them meeting and she was pregnant by the time she was seventeen. Kalliope didn’t see the evil of who Thanatos was until it was too late and he was already a Death Eater. He had betrothed himself as one long before he’d ever met Kalliope, he’d done it when his parents had asked him to, it was his life from then. Thanatos had the same schizophrenic genetic disease that Icarus does and used it to make him crazier. Thanatos killed many people before Kalliope decided to leave him out of fear worse than fear of him, that didn’t bode well. Nike was nine, Icarus was five, and Psyche was four when Thanatos murdered Kalliope in cold blood. He waited for her to put the children down for the last time and killed her the moment she walked into their bedroom.
The children all figured that their mother had gone away, that she had decided to go to see her family in Whales. However when she did not return after a month Nike began questioning; only getting grunts and smacks from Thanatos. Icarus although young came to his sisters aid every time that Thanatos hit her and would receive a smack or two himself. However Thanatos had no care for him and would smack him harder than he would the other two females. Icarus was too young to see the abusive tendencies as Thanatos was his father.
The first time that Thanatos did something else besides smacking was when he turned nine, Nike was away at Hogwarts, and Psyche was sleeping already. Thanatos made sure that the room was sound proof when he walked in and made Icarus sit on the wooden floor with his knees pressed hard against it, no shirt, and beat him with everything he had. Icarus fainted about three quarters of the way through and didn’t wake until the next afternoon when Psyche finally came in. At this point Icarus was bruising, bleeding, and very pink. Psyche ran to get their father but Thanatos had left and they were alone so she got one of their house elves, Sinca, a female elf. Sinca finxed Icarus up the best she could with a healing paste and set him in bed.
Thanatos would smack his sister and make her cry, he would leave marks but none as bad as Icarus' marks. Nike never was home to see it and Thanatos would never hit a fully armed witch who he figured could turn him in.
Icarus was silent throughout the next few days and even weeks, only going nuts when no one was there. He would scream, shout, kick, and punch things every time Psyche left for a play date and Thanatos was not there. This kind of beating lasted every two days for twelve months until Thanatos graduated to something else, something more evil, something more painful. It had been late one night when Thanatos came back, drunk, as usual and Icarus had been sleeping in Psyche’s bed with her waiting, knowing. It was leading towards two am when the drunk stumbler entered Psyche’s room, telling the girl to get up, when she didn’t move because Icarus was holding her Thanatos raged. He lashed out to grab the girl and instead grabbed Icarus who defiantly looked up at his father as he dangled.
Icarus’ mouth was set in a line and Thanatos grimaced before saying the few words Icarus would never forget, ”You’ll do.”, and was dragged out fighting into Thanatos’ private study. It was over in a short while after he’d had his clothes taken and his feelings humiliated. Icarus was never the same after that moment of protection over his sister, and never spoke of what continued to happen even when Nike came home to find a destroyed family. Psyche cried every day and Icarus silently shushed her from afar, he didn’t even like to touch her. When she’d come to him for comfort he’d make sure to put a blanket in between them and wrap it around her before petting her head absently. Nike had figured out what was going on almost immediately when she saw this, when she saw that usually hug-y Icarus didn’t want to be touched.
Nike made sure to ask Kalliope to watch Psyche, to keep her with her as much as she could because home wasn’t going well. Kalliope did and Psyche left home the day that she dropped Icarus and Nike off for Hogwarts. Icarus continued to have his often rage moments where he’d trash anything he could find when he was alone, continuing to not allow anyone to know of his past or what he did when alone. He kept his angry feelings to himself and Nike while attempting to have a real life on the outside. Icarus became a friendly person, trying to make friends every which way, but still stayed shy enough to keep his past hidden. Icarus wouldn’t give hugs but he’d talk to anyone who needed it or wanted it.
It was that summer that although Kalliope, their grandmother, was taking care of them that they were taken from her care to be adopted by a new family. Their grandmother had passed away while Nike was in Hogwarts, she had no time to help them. But overall it wasn’t needed as they found a loving home in the Fawcett-Rosier household.
He made friends quite easily from the moment he entered Hogwarts up until his father was put away in Azkaban for his crimes. This is when Icarus began to make more friends because he was genuinely happy living with his new adoptive parents, when he entered his fourth year. Psyche moved home to live with them and continues to go to Hogwarts happily without the thought of their father looming over them any longer.
Icarus never knew who turned his father in but suspected it might've been Nike who had become fed up with what was happening. Nike had found her father’s books about his years as a Death Eater, and how he listed all the times he... did those things to Icarus and Psyche. She immediately gave these logs into the Ministry who took him away the day after she brought them in.
Icarus although having his heavy mood swings and schizophrenia makes friends well enough to get by. His schizophrenia does scare people when he mentions it but most of the time they come to terms when they see how sweet he is. When he does see things he makes sure to mention it instead of freaking out. Most of the time Icarus sees floating golden bubbles, crawling black spiders, and things coming from the walls.
Icarus often wishes that his disease will go away and that his past will disappear but he knows it will not. He attempts to go on with his life even when it gets difficult, like when people touch him, the best he can.
It might've been the events that his father put him through at a young age or it could've been that he was born with it, he likes to say he was born with it, that made him realize at thirteen that he didn't get attracted to women the way other males his age did. He was more attracted to the male counterparts, this threw him for another loop, and he's been handling it since.
