PERSONALITY 
Kyler's personality has been almost completely shaped by his place in the Carlisle household. Kyler is the youngest of his father's children and a middle child including his father's wife's children. He comes from a very busy, loud, out going family and because of that, Kyler tends to slip through the cracks without being noticed a lot. There is always so much going on around him that he often finds himself alone. Kyler is a very headstrong, brave boy but it doesn't get shown a lot because he claims that his family doesn't care what he does. His determined and impulsive personality gets put to the side, showing only a quiet and reserved boy. Though when he is out with his friends (he likes to have a few close friends, rather than a huge group of mediocre friends) he can be a little different. He likes to have a good time and party hard when the occasion is right. Just because he is "shy and quiet" up front doesn't mean that is how he acts all the time. Kyler is a caring person, he enjoys listening to people and being there when they need a shoulder to lean on.

The way that his family accidentally tends to leave him out of things has caused a lot of built up anger inside of him. He doesn't show it at all though and almost always does exactly what he's told. He comes across as the ideal child but his family knows nothing about him. Sometimes slipping through the cracks has it's perks but subconsciously he is a time bomb waiting to explode. Everyone has a limit to how much they can take and he is quickly approaching his whether he knows it or not.  

Because of his personality around his family, he leaves them all wondering why he wasn't a Ravenclaw. They don't see him as the true Gryffindor that he really is because he hasn't had to show them yet, which is a good thing. It isn't often that his impulsive and reckless side comes out but when it does, Kyler can really give everyone a good scare. One of his favorite places to go besides his abandoned lifeguard tower is the old pier 59, a pier that has been falling apart for years and years that the city has left to let the ocean take care of. It's one of the most dangerous places in Ocean City and one of the most common places to find the sixteen year old. Kyler likes to be around his friends but a lot of the time he prefers to be alone just because with his crowded household he doesn't get a lot of time to himself. Nighttime is his favorite time to go out and think. He loves nature and the ocean so he has been known to sneak out of his house and spend numerous nights in the sand.

HISTORY 
It wasn't long after Kyler was born that his mother left his father to run away with another man. She left her four children in exchange for a very rich sugar daddy living off the coast of Cancun and that is something that Kyler will never forgive her for. It was easy to see that a single dad raising four children wasn't going to work out well in the end so it was luck that his father's childhood sweetheart had come back into his life, but bringing two very young children with her. When Kyler was eight years old his father married the blonde bombshell and after some remodeling, the family of now eight was all residing in the large but still crowded Carlisle house off the New Jersey coast. Kyler had always gotten along well with his stepmother and step siblings so that wasn't a hard adjustment for the family. 

Growing up right along the east coast it had always been in the family to be commercial fisherman. His dad being the captain of nearly every fishing expedition leaving New Jersey, made sure that his time was limited with his children. Though as the boys aged, it wasn't long before they were all going out on the expeditions as well. That soon became one of Kyler's favorite things to do, especially because he was missing school. Kyler has never enjoyed going to school and looks for every opportunity he can to miss it. Most of the time he gets away with it but every once in awhile the Carlisle household will get an owl from the school about his lack of attendance and that doesn't seem to slip through the cracks. When Kyler graduates from Hogwarts he wants to either play soccer professionally or continue with the family commercial fishing business.
