WAND Willow :: Dragon Heartstring :: 11” :: Pliant
LIKES
Motorcycles :: He has one that he's been fixing up for the past few years, dark blue and custom.
The Chase :: He likes when people resist him, to a point. It makes the rest seem more rewarding.
Alchemy :: It's not something that's well-covered in school, so he studies it in his free time.
Reading :: He reads a lot of different books of different subjects, but becomes bored easily with the content.
Quidditch :: He played as a beater once. Most of his experience was just casual games at home.
Clubs :: Muggle clubs, in particular, though he's modeled parties at the Room of Requirement on them.
Knitting :: ...Which we'll never discuss again. It's a calming hobby, but not even his parents know about it.
DISLIKES
Clingy People :: When people get the wrong idea and don't let go, Caeden gets frustrated and is bound to hurt someone.
Being Called Caelen :: His twin brother's name. It irks him beyond belief, even teachers have done it.
Prudes :: Playing hard to get is one thing, treating him like a creep for knowing what he likes quite another.
Losing His Temper :: It's not a pretty side of him, and he knows that. He hates losing control of himself.
Blood Status :: Not his own, but the fact that people still sometimes judge on that.
Being Wrong :: He won't admit it, even faced with evidence. He's very stubborn.
Potions :: Not all Slytherins are good at Potions, and he's one of the unlucky ones.
BOGGART Getting someone pregnant. Even with precautions, it could happen, and he dreads the very idea.
MIRROR OF ERISED A family. He doesn't know this about himself, even. If someone were to ask him, he would probably say that he didn't have any such ideas for the future, only now.
PATRONUS A housecat – because face it, they only have to worry about themselves for the most part. And they want attention on their terms, hardly ever the other way around.
PERSONALITY Caeden is the sort of person that always knows what he wants, and always goes for it, no matter what obstacles are there or what others think and feel. If someone can provide him with something that he needs he'll play on their insecurities and make them trust him just enough to get what he wants, then he'll drop them. Relationships are much the same. He doesn't do romance. He's just there to get what he wants and then he splits. It's like there is a wall separating him from his emotions. There is one exception to that rule in the form of his best friend Lux. They grew up remarkably similar in some ways, and are friends with benefits. He cares more for her than just the physical things. He protects her, and helps her to get with the people that she wants to be with. She'll do the same. She, along with his siblings, is among the few people that Caeden actually fears losing. And the only times he ever loses his temper are when Lux or Emma are being victimized in any way.
Caeden is a hedonist, putting his own pleasure above everyone else's. It's not that he doesn't know what another person is thinking or feeling. It's that he doesn't care, or worse, he's amused when they're uncomfortable or upset. He likes men and women both but especially likes to hit on the straight guys because they tend to be so weirded out by it. Even though most of his life seems to revolve around a set of affairs, there are other things that occupy his time. He's a decent student in school and even studies alchemy on the side. He found a book on it in his fourth year and hasn't looked back since, not caring if others think of it as the old man's art. He gets bored easily by people and books alike, so it's a surprise that he's devoted so much time to learning one thing.
He is protective of both of his siblings. Because he doesn't get in relationships, he doesn't get hurt easily but hates to see that the same happens to his brother and sister. Caelen is very much his opposite, a good boy that doesn't get around, and Emma is, in his eyes, an ordinary teenage girl. Part of Caeden's need to be the one who is noticed around the school is the fact that Caelen is his twin brother, and by family they've always been treated as somewhat the same. He wants to be his own person. And he wants to be the one of them that is remembered in the end.
Caeden has one final but rather small issue. He is a half-blood in Slytherin house. That doesn't mean as much as it did in his parents' day, but he still thinks that people would look down on him for it. In his earlier years he never spoke of his blood status. But tired of hiding it, he began instead to flaunt it, hitting muggle clubs over the summer and finding interests in the muggle world that he could bring to the wizarding world. He has actually convinced some of his stupider housemates that he is superior because he has the best of both worlds. More of them either don't care about that part of his life or hold the old beliefs, in which they think that muggles don't deserve so much as the air that they breathe. But Caeden doesn't care about blood status personally. Why should he, when he knows and finds fun in both worlds?

Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right, and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort.

OTHER His best friend is Lux Cole – any other relationships to be added later!
HISTORY Caeden had a fairly ordinary childhood with loving parents, in a bilingual home. He was always the more rowdy of the boys, and the one that was more likely to tease their little sister Emma, but altogether he wasn't bad. That didn't come until he was in Hogwarts and he gained an inferiority complex for being sorted in a house that was once known for only accepting the purest of blood. Still, his personality gained him a number of friends, most of which he has kept up to this day. There were minor exceptions with a few he lost from stealing their significant others, but they weren't real friends anyway. Caeden looked out for those he deemed 'real friends'. The only one that he would trust with anything was Lux Cole, and he looks after her to this day. They were and probably always will be a duo that causes trouble, teasing each other but always being there in the end.
He is the black sheep of the family. At least, that's the way that he always felt. His mother had always been very sweet and unprejudiced despite being a Slytherin in her youth, and his father was the very definition of 'good boy'. Both had been prefects in school. And it seems to Caeden that Caelen is just the model child for them, what they always wanted in a kid. Caeden never tried to be that for them. He did things his own way. His idea of respecting women is to show them a good time without ever telling them that he loves them, never letting them think that there is more to it than there is. If they get that idea it is their fault, not his. In the end, he hid those kinds of situations from his parents. His siblings know how he is in school because he has such a broad reputation, but he trusts that they won't rat him out.
He did get in trouble in his fifth year for sneaking out and drinking, and getting so drunk that he tried to skinny dip. He had to deal with a lengthy lecture from his do-good father, but that was about all the punishment he'd gotten. After all, they didn't know about everything else he'd been up to. This year, he doesn't have much of a plan... That should surprise no one at all.

RP EXPERIENCE? Forever
RP SAMPLE. “It's not my persona that I'm worried about,” Anthony said with a frown. He knew that Carly didn't like him, but did she think that little of him? He didn't care about what people thought about him so much as what he would think of himself if he didn't watch out for people. Yet in the end he was pretty sure it would make him just as miserable doing what he thought was right. Lorena was bound to get upset with him for putting himself into trouble so much when he wouldn't allow her to do the same thing.
He was genuinely surrpised that she would suddenly spill all of that to him. Was it because she just couldn't hold it in anymore, or was she venting to him because she thought that he was complaining too much over the state of the school. Either way, he felt for her. It was terrible how many people were being affected by things outside of the school. His own mother might be in danger, but as far as he knew, she wasn't actually missing. “I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't know...” He wished that there was more that he could say. But what could he say to that? Nothing seemed right. 'Everything will be okay' felt empty and pointless, and 'I'm sorry for your loss' was about as depressing and hopeless as it could get. He had a tendency to be the white knight at times, and decided that even though they were sort of enemies for some reason he would try to make things easier for her at school by watching out for her. He might not be able to do anything, but if there was even a chance... “It doesn't seem as uncommon anymore...” he said more to himself. That was a discouraging thought.
Anthony smirked a little bit when she said it was 'decent of him'. Was that a compliment, or was she just being sarcastic? She was rather good at being sarcastic, he couldn't always tell when she was. When it came to him though it was probably best he assumed that she was always joking when saying something nice. So her next words took him completely off guard. It seemed kind of funny to him to literally pretend that they were just meeting, but it seemed right somehow. “Anthony Goldstein, nice to meet you,” he said with a grin on his face, shaking hands with her. “I like Charms, long walks on the beach, and watching the sun set.” He doubted that she would get the dating video reference, but he was trying to be light-hearted. Hopefully she wouldn't take that as him not taking their making up seriously. The idea of being something like friends with Carly was actually a good one. Maybe they would get along without their first impressions always flashing in their minds.
