It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

HAIR&EYES Black hair that is usually worn in either a ponytail or straight down, reaching just above her shoulder-blades. She is not one to use a lot of accessories in her hair. Maybe once in a while a baseball cap. Her eyes are nearly the same color as her hair. While she does not always need glasses, she typically does in class, and trouble may come to any who mock her for it!
HEIGHT&WEIGHT 5' even, 105 pounds; she definitely doesn't have a lot of fat on her, as she is energetic with a love of sports.
FACE CLAIM Rosa Kato

LIKES
-Insects
-Playing sports (mostly muggle contact sports)
-Being an annoyance to certain people, and shocking others
-Her father... She gets along with everyone in her family to some extent, but she's definitely a daddy's girl.
-Boys, as she gets along with them better. She hasn't yet 'noticed' them.
-Being outdoors. Making snowmen in winter, splashing in the rain, she'll do it all.
-Staying up late playing games in the common room
DISLIKES
-Romance
-Having to dress nice for formal events
-When people act as though her opinion doesn't matter based on how young and inexperienced she is
-Most other girls, since she doesn't have a lot in common with a lot of them.
-Being told what to do by people who don't have the authority
-Her older sister most of the time, since she's more the embodiment of grace where Adalyn is just a tomboy.
-When boys ask her out. It's happened before as part of a dare, and now she always assumes that's why they're there.
-Getting pictures taken. Undoubtedly, she'll pull a silly face at the last second, probably ruining past family pictures.
BOGGART Finding out that her father was killed while on the job.
MIRROR OF ERISED To become a professional athlete (preferably soccer, for us Americans)
PATRONUS Hamster – not only are they small creatures, but they have personalities bigger than their size. She is naturally quite inquisitive (especially about things that she shouldn't know about) and energetic. A small random detail is that hamsters have poor eyesight. So does Adalyn even though she is in denial over it.
PERSONALITY Adalyn is, in a word, a tomboy. Many of her interests would not be considered overly feminine, like sports and bug catching. She likes to play games with boys, mostly, because she thinks that they're easier to get along with. She does not have an interest in romance and has even less interest in gossip around the school. And she tends to just say whatever is on her mind. It isn't that she doesn't have control over her thoughts, it's rather that she likes shocking people with her words. She finds it funny to get a reaction out of them. She doesn't understand why people are so creeped out by insects... but at least scaring people with them is fun.
When Adalyn was younger she was teased a lot for her awkward appearance, and even told that she was ugly. She decided that instead of letting it get her too down she would embrace what others thought were her bad qualities. She went from bullying victim to savior, at times stopping others from picking on weaker kids. She is reckless in her bravery and doesn't back down, and isn't afraid to fight dirty. Even when she is very outmatched in a fight she doesn't give up. In her fourth year, most people have learned not to mess with her, and so she isn't picked on all that often.
Despite some insecurities, Adalyn is generally an upbeat person. She likes to explore on her own when she isn't playing sports with others, and she can almost always find something to entertain herself. In class she is quiet... though not necessarily because she is straining to listen to the professor. Often she's thinking about something else, her mind in the clouds. She's a dreamer by nature and spends a lot of time wondering what would happen if she did something, or what it would have been like to be born in another time and place.

Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right, and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort.

HISTORY Adalyn was the third child in her family, and the second daughter. However, she isn't spoiled like a lot of youngest children are. Every one of the kids turned out different and that being the case, the treatment that they received was always more dependent on who they were as a person and not the order of birth. Adalyn was a pretty independent girl from a young age, who would disobey at times to do dangerous things like explore a little too far or climb a tree just a little too high, and she had the broken bones and scars to prove it. Her highly energetic nature was what led her to sports by the time she was ten.
However, she did have some issues of her own. Shyrise was, in Adalyn's opinion, the much prettier and talented of the daughters. And people tended to flock to her more easily than they did Adalyn. Adalyn tried for a while to balance her naturally boyish traits with a girly side that didn't feel true to herself. By the time she was thirteen, though, she didn't care so much anymore. She had friends that liked her for who she was, and who probably thought that Shyrise was overrated, too. Her interest in sports made her grow closer to her father who already was Adalyn's hero. Generally she got along with everyone in her family, she just had a better relationship with her father than anyone else.
It was at Hogwarts that Adalyn really discovered the anti-bully in herself. She liked to protect the new kids, and sometimes even help defend kids that were older than her with mixed results. Some hold a grudge against her, but luckily, most people don't dare to act on it anymore.

RP EXPERIENCE? 4 years paragraph forum rp, and many, many more in general. <.<
RP SAMPLE. Shalie was glad that she had worked so hard in her six years at Hogwarts making herself invisible. She had been a shy girl throughout her entire life, and had preferred the company of books to the company of most of her classmates. And as she scarcely got into trouble, she was hardly noticed by most of the people around her. Even when she was a prefect she'd left people alone unless they were doing something wrong. She was never the sort of person to draw attention to herself. And now, that skill would come into play, she thought.
She had felt more than a little empty when she knew that September 2nd was coming. It was the first time since she had discovered the wizarding world that she wouldn't be going to Hogwarts. Her mother was a pure-blood, so she knew that she would have no problem proving that she was fit to attend, but she had chosen instead to stay out of school to help those who were opposing the Death Eaters, and to protect her own muggle father. He went about his business in New York without any idea what the UK side of the Wizarding world was going through. She wanted to keep it that way. If they fought the Death Eaters off here, it would never have to reach America. Though maybe there was a gathering of American dark wizards allied with Voldemort. She didn't know, wouldn't even know where to ask. So she held onto her hopes, feeble as they were.
She was buying some potions ingredients. It had always been her best subject, and she knew that it was the easiest way that she could help the Order. She could be a healer, and help them disguise themselves if need be. There were a lot of things that potions could do that spells could as well, but there were times when a potion made more sense. And they were a bit harder to track than spells were. It made them dangerous, but deadly useful. She wanted to stock up on things now, though she wasn't sure what she was going to do with them yet. Ah well, all the better to be prepared.
She left the apothecary with a small bag, one with a spell to make the inside able to hold more. If her father made her give up the wizarding world, she wouldn't have spells like that. She wished that he would see how useful it was. Soon enough, it could save his life.
After that, she decided to get a drink at the Three Broomsticks. Good memories, as far as the ones she'd made with friends went. She didn't have a lot of friends but at least the ones that she did have were loyal to her. She hoped that they were alright. Silently, once she had her drink, she said something of a prayer for them. Before she could drink it, a drunk man fell half into her table and knocked the drink from her hand, spilling it both on her and on the floor. She looked at it with apprehension when the man had grunted an apology and left. A prayer made, a drink spilled. She hoped that wasn't a bad sign...
