HAIR&EYES Her hair is black, not a raven's black, but s soft black. She keeps it short to the shoulders preferring the feel of it. The natural berry products she learned to use in Brazil keep her hair soft and healthy. While Olivia is a tad near sighted (having trouble seeing things far away), her brown eyes still impress people with their sharpness, not missing much nearby. She does not, however, because of pride ever like using things like glasses. Maybe it's a pride thing, but truthfully she just thinks she looks better without them and does not consider herself disabled by long distance viewing.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT At five foot six and 150 pounds, the first thing that you remember about Olivia is that she is short, but stands out in a crowd. Part of that is the attitude of certainty and confidence she carried with her everywhere. The other part is due to her extreme exercises and daily workouts with fencing, she is far tougher then she looks.

PATRONUS Indian Rhino and she can cast it easily. Her memory was of one of the first students she brought back with her from Egypt and the wonder in his eyes at what she taught him. Oddly enough she shares many common traits with them. Short sighted, short, ornery, and mostly vegetarian. Other people would say other things as well, but not within her hearing.
PERSONALITY
Despite having gone to Beauxbatons, Olivia is the spitting image of a Ravenclaw; smart, learning focused, and the most important trait, wierdness (in her own experience). Her love of learning led her to explore her world and in her travels she has learned many odd facts, weird skills, and met people from all over. She has learned over time to stay flexible in what she does, to always try new things, and to always stay mobile wherever she goes. Whether it's a local gang fight or a military coup or even just getting the chance to ride a luxurious yacht up the Amazon (she looked pretty sunbathing on the front and the guy wanted to show off) the lesson of always being prepared has always paid off.
One of her weird bits is the Rhinoceros in her. She can be quite stubborn and it is not unheard of her for her to just get frustrated with a situation and just blow right through it and say “The Hell with it.” And sometimes in looking for the layers she just knows are there, she might miss the most obvious stuff which is right in front of her. In many ways, being a Rhino has kept her single, a loner striking out on her own and feeling tough enough to take on all comers, but inside it's really because she has never found a 'herd' she felt comfortable with. In returning to her homeland, she hopes she will find what she has been missing all these years and what her parents having been trying to hammer through her thick skull. Maybe it's not too late for her to have a kid of her own...
There is a darker side though which is beginning to rear it's head. In her travels, the darker side of things has been drawing her interest more and more each year. In truth, she finds dark wizards to be rather hot and learning secrets or being involved with the darker side of life tends to get her quite...involved. It's not that she would sleep with any dark wizard she came across (she has yet to find a man who interested her enough to settle down or even date) and it's not because she is attracted to power. I's more that there is a skill and style needed for the dark arts that seems to light her on fire with fascination and attraction. As a loner, and often in the wilds with no one else to turn to, she has used spells in ways the Ministry would certainly frown upon, including killing. In using them, she has defended herself, but using them that way has given her the taste for it as well and there is a small undercurrent in her which would like to use them more often, to feel the power there and know it is part of her.
Finally, and most importantly, she tries to stay straight-forward at all times, whether dealing with small children in the street or in dealing with hoodlums in the back woods of Africa. There is quite a bit of honesty in her as well, but the openness comes from not liking masks. When you deal with Olivia you get her; not some personality she hides behind. She would rather make a deal with someone right at the beginning based on her impression of you then work at building a solid relationship over years. Besides, she might not be around in a month, why not get things right from the beginning?
Registered Animagus She is an Indian Rhino, a single horn variety. Her hide is hella tough and thick, her eyesight as bad as when she's a human, and her liking for floating, wading, and mud baths hard to resist. Because of her early acceptance of her nature, she has slowly over the years leaned not towards vegetarian foods so much as grains. Porridges, wheat breads, and rice dishes tend to draw her interest far more then anything else (although like most people she does like fruits). The only obvious difference between her and a normal Rhino would be that her hide is a bit closer to charcoal then most and her lips are more reddish, almost as if she put lipstick on. Physically, she seems to have more endurance then a normal Rhino, able to run far longer then most due to long practice as well as nature. The Rhinos she has come across in the past have given her a wide berth, smelling her dangerous nature and seeing her as one to watch out for. Animals can pick out the darkness in someone far quicker then humans can...

HISTORY
Olivia was born to a fairly wealthy family in Wales at their traditional home. Over the years they had grown wealthy enough off rents (renting lands to many people in Wales) that they no longer stayed in one home but traveled abroad during most of the year and enjoying small places in many areas. Olivia became used to many peoples, many beliefs, and many concepts as she grew up with her brother and sister. She more then her siblings tried to learn everything she could from the people's they met, especially the natives and simpler cultures. Her parents, former Slytherins, still had the ideas about pure bloods so common to that house, but with a very strong exception; they believed that all people, muggle and magic, needed to work together for the benefit of all. The fact that they would be the ones in control and receiving the most benefit was just desserts.
Following her parents foot-steps, she began her own independent studies of the peoples she met as they traveled, learning much about different beliefs around the world and keeping a travel journal. Odd facts inserted in conversations and an early natural talent for divination methods, which she was like a magnet for, caught her families attention before she was nine. Many times they found her in odd places which turned out to be the only safe place at the time and once she woke her parents up in the middle of the night with her screams and they ran into her room together wands ready just as the roof caved in the part of the house they had just run out of. Sometimes she would stop puzzled, look around and then step into a doorway and her family learned to quickly go with her, often watching ladders fall, accidents happen, or narrowly avoiding unpleasant people simple by following their child. In many ways they likened it to the muggle miners who used canaries in the caves; Olivia was the family warning. Nannies found her unnerving sometimes in how much she knew about them when they didn't even talk and by the time she was ten only the family house elf could keep up with her at all. By the time she had reached the age of ten though this unusual sight seemed to have lessened and become concentrated in a set of Chinese tiles. Only when she drew from her bag of tiles did she have the same gift of figuring out what was coming.
It was a natural thing that when she became old enough she was registered not at Hogwarts but in a school which tended to have the most mix of internationals in it (at least that was the excuse. They at least had reputable Divination Professors) and thus she entered Beauxbatons while her siblings went to Hogwarts. It was a time of great excitement for her and her days filled rapidly with books and arguments with her professors who encouraged her curiosity and set her to find out the answers herself. She became known as lucky, due to her avoidance of big issues and conflicts through her tile study, and she made many friends who thought of her as a lucky charm in a way. The teachers also discovered an unusual affinity with swords and began her fencing lessons instead of wand dueling and she remained best in school for the last four years of her time there. It was during her last year that she was registered with the Ministry for her animagus form, particularly useful in Africa and the Middle East. The tiles were hinting that traveling was a good thing.
Due to a genuine love of the school and it's environment, the school offered her an unusual position of acting as a scout and traveling the globe to magic homes and giving children from secluded families information about the school and it's many advantages. For many years after school she performed this way and earned a very good living, ninety percent of which went into her accounts and was not touched. Since she lived simply and often found herself grazing in fields along the way, she rarely spent much money after the initial investment in a trip. Most of her contacts during this period formed in places like the Middle East, Africa, and Asia with a few scattered ones in South and Central America. It was not unusual for her to visit small secluded tribes in far off parts of the jungle to speak with one family with a magical line.
Because of this unusual recruitment program, she has come into more contact with muggleborn and half bloods then most and often encouraged home teaching for them if possible at all, while the pure blooded children being taught at home she heavily recruited for the school. In her mind, a child with magic talent was far more dangerous untrained then trained so despite the fact they were lesser people because of their blood, they still needed help. And really now, going around tying to eliminate all the mixed bloods would take far too much time and energy; while she understood the wish to kill them all, it simply wasn't a feasible nor reasonable idea. She brought quite a few children into the magical community across Europe over these years and keeps up a correspondence with many outside of the Hogwarts circle still today. Beauxbatons rewarded her well for the work and her parents added annually to her account. By the time she was forty she had enough she no longer needed to work for anyone.
She began truly traveling, visiting many muggle and magic areas and seeing the world. During these trips she traveled light, often with a sword, her tiles, & one small bag, magically expanded with just a few things (and curiously close to a saddle bag style for some odd reason). She collected over the years as well a wide variety of unusual items, weapons, divination tools, and historical artifacts with which she expanded her Gringotts' account. Any time she could learn a new magic twist, a piece of old lore, or track down a rare magical talent, she did so, often not knowing her own travel plans for weeks at a time, but 'flying by the seat of her pants' as she liked to call it. Many times during this period she helped out with Ministry officials she came across (often just acting as a guide), locals in many places, and different local Ministry chapters who did not know how to relate the local situation to others and often needed an outside opinion. Due to her official travels on the school's behalf, this meant many already knew of her by reputation and were always happy to see her. She took care of kids, searched antique shops, wandered wilderness, and generally did more types of things then most people thought could be done in one lifetime. She had quite a reputation in the magic world for her ability to live through muggle turmoil by just going with the wind. From police actions to slaughters to genocide and famines, Olivia has walked through most without a scar or misplaced hair.
But, she never once was tempted to settle down or find someone to have a family with.
Recently it was pointed out to her by a shaman in the deepest jungle of Brazil that she had great learning about the world and understood it quite well, but she had never explored her own heart. Upon contemplation, she realized she had never in all those years explored her own country outside of her parent's home. In fact, she had never had a home herself, she had just aways been on the move. Making plans, she visited most of her friends around the world in far-flung areas for a last visit and has only just returned home, having decided to start with the magic areas first. She hopes to stop by Hogwarts and see about possible jobs (pointed that way by the tiles) before finding a place for a quiet home away from the bustle of the big city where she can establish a base for exploring. She has been watching her mahjongg tiles and they tell Olivia her heart is about to have quite an experience. She can hardly wait to see what that adventure will be!

What happened to Miss Independent?
As class time came she came down the hallway from where she had gone to fetch her volunteer, but her heart wasn't into class very much today. It was her first ever relationship and starting one of those at this age was never easy as she was discovering. She was too tough to have those palm-sweats or panic attacks and she wasn't immature enough to go into furious blushing or erratic nerves, but her mind was cloudy with not the best of emotions that was certain. In any case, young Master Radke had come to her attention from another Professor who had noted his skill at Astronomy and thought she might like to know in advance to keep an eye open. In fact, she had spoken to him the other day about helping her out with a class today after a few short questions about his interests. According to his other teachers he was not very good at school so far, but he had seemed very interested in the class. Something told her (her tiles actually had) that he was going to end up one of her students at some point. Tapping the rope ladder hanging down from the ceiling (the traditional method of entering available to students -- Olivia found it annoying and always changed them into stairs instead for herself) she stepped up the stairs briskly motioning to the boy to follow her up and pointed him to a table to sit down.
"There will be fine, Spyke, class will begin shortly. All you need to do is follow my instructions to you. I can't tell you more without you doing something to change the results so please be patient." Knowing the first year would probably be fidgety sitting in a new room with stuff to look at, she handed him a book filled with art works about divination from paintings to portraits to sketches. It was amusing enough and wildly different to keep his attention at least a few minutes. Sitting down on the other chair at that same table, Olivia pulled out her bowl and chopsticks, fished around inside the bowl a moment (it was hard to pick out smaller then normal items from it, one of the drawbacks of this particular form of carrying transportation) and finally produced a tiny piece of brass which she placed on the table. As she put bowl and chopsticks away again in her robes the bit of brass swelled in size rapidly to beautiful oil warmer about a quarter inch deep oil inside, a clear liquid. Tapping her wand on it, a candle wick came up in the center of the brass holder and she lit it with the tip of her wand, the flame burning green. She then pointed her wand at the windows of the room and the outside two dimmed as a gauze curtains fell down from the ceiling, putting all the light down the center of the room, plenty enough of course.
Olivia looked into the bowl, touching a finger to the oil in the basin lightly to check it's temperature and then she put her wand down and waited for the class to enter. Being it was a Friday, and late in the day, most would be edgy and find it hard to concentrate so she had chosen something more light hearted and yet demanding they do some small bit of thinking at least. Of all the divinations this was certainly be one of the easiest and as she sat there one hand on the brass to feel when it started getting warmer, she thought about those in her class. All boys practically, she saw a mixture of talent from a couple of them including her personal student Kazu (who was steadily improving thank goodness) and quite possible her niec-- Olivia frowned again and forced herself to finish the thought. Nephew who insisted on being called Eiri, though it was not his given name nor even a short version. "Children..." she muttered to herself, wondering where they got these ideas from. His was a noble name for a boy and he should appreciate it, even if he couldn't see how well it fit him! Of all her students, even Eva should be able to handle this subject, not difficult at all, despite the girl's failed attempts at other versions of divination.
She kinda expected half the class to make sh!t up anyway.
As students entered, giving the first year surprised looks and then finding their seats she greeted them. "Afternoon, class, please take the seats on the sides of the room today and keep your wands put away." Nodding at a few different ones as they entered, she handed back homework graded from last time on their palm readings (something they had done only one days class on as Olivia considered it way too obvious a subject for use around muggles); in a subject like that she expected to take those with promise aside for individual instruction in another class, not today. No reason to drag the entire class into a subject they weren't that talented with anyway, right? Many of her classes ran that way, two or three lessons in a row then dividing on one day them into their strengths and working with them on what they were good at in smaller groups. As soon as they had entered and most were seated she checked the oil temperature one last time finding it warm enough and pushed it slightly into the beam of sunlight on the table. Standing she waved the class silent and nodded with satisfaction when they did get quiet quickly. "Greetings. Some of you may notice we have a visitor this afternoon. Mr Radke has kindly consented to be the subject of today's lesson in Onychomancy." She turned to her spelled copy of the texts they all had and waved her wand over it, casting silently.
Every text on the tables in front of the students flipped to the appropriate page.
