Harry Potter and the gang have graduated from Hogwarts, ready to continue their lives outside the walls of their home away from home. As they build their adult lives, a new generation of students file into Hogwarts, ready to learn and create wonderful memories that will live with them always.

But alas, another evil has come to take the place of Voldemort – a Purist group that wants freedoms for Purebloods but at the expense of Muggleborns, “Mudbloods,” and those with creature blood and certain creature-based illnesses. They want these groups gone, permanently eradicated being the preferred option. They want to insure the Muggle and Wizarding worlds never cross and that creatures are banished into the wilderness. They are hiding in Hogwarts, secretly recruiting children to their cause.

There is a resistance to this Purist movement but it is small in number. There are many angry Pureblood families after the War and that anger has been passed to their children. Hogwarts’ Professors and various adults in the communities frequented by young Witches and Wizards fight back by reaching out to these children, pulling them away from the Purist regime and back to the melting pot beliefs found in Hogwarts. It is difficult work getting through the teachings of one’s parents, but those opposing the Purists have faith they will win.


Magic Everlasting is a Post-Potter RP board that is not Deathly Hallows nor epilogue-compliant. Severus Snape, Remus Lupin, and various others are still alive and Harry never married Ginny, Ron never married Hermione, and so forth. It is in this essence that we can allow full creative freedom yet keep many of the canon characters. We have no word count and welcome characters of all gender identities and sexual orientation. We are very character driven – everyone has the chance to choose a side (or remain neutral) and make choices, both good and bad.
