Luke never gave Percy a pit scorpion. No, he and several other servants to Kronos kidnapped him, and used him for the cause. He was kept captive, eventually being pronounced dead, and eventually being forgotten. Because of this happening, destiny was changed forever. Luke stayed at Camp Half-Blood, recruiting more demigods to the opposite side, instead of being used as Kronos' temporary body. Bianca and Nico di Angelo were found and brought to camp by the Hunters, Bianca joing them but leaving two years later, to stay with her brother because she knew he needed her. Bianca, Annabeth, and Luke went on a quest to get the Golden Fleece to save Thalia, and she became human again, no longer a tree. Nico ran off to find out all about his mother, completely abandoning Bianca at camp and going off on his own, not being heard from in a while.
Thalia never joined the Hunters, and when she hit her sixteenth birthday...nothing happened. Kronos' plans were still in the works, and it was determined that, once she hit her seventeenth birthday, that she was not the child of the Prophecy. Rachel, instead of becoming the Oracle, became a Hunter of Artemis, and eventually became second-in-command to Silena Beauregard, who became lieutenant of the Hunters when her boyfriend, Charles Beckendorf, died. When Kronos was defeated, everyone celebrated. Bianca di Angelo, with the help of Annabeth Chase, had defeated Kronos. The Great Prophecy had been wrong. Two years had passed, and everyone was in peace, happy with their lives. It wasn't meant to stay that way for long, though.
Percy returned. Percy, the one who had been deemed 'dead', returned. Something was different, though. Something was different about him, no one could understand. He was an outsider in the camp, because of what he had done - he had abandoned everyone. Luke told Annabeth about how he had heard that Percy had worked for Kronos, and almost anyone that had been friends with Annabeth and Luke turned against Percy. The Athena, Hermes, and Poseidon cabins completely turned against him, as well as half of the rest of the people at camp. Thalia, Nico, and Bianca stayed on his side, and it seemed like the whole camp was split. Thalia and Nico could tell that something was wrong, though. He was covered in scars, and he barely slept at night. Thalia practically moved into the Poseidon cabin to take care of him, something completely out of character for her, and could see that something was severely wrong.
Percy was possessed by Kronos...sort-of. He has his voice in his head, and it is a constant inner-battle. Relationships that had been close, before he had arrived at camp, were broken apart. Thalia and Luke broke up, Annabeth and Luke started dating. Nico and Thalia got closer than ever, and the friendship between Thalia and Annabeth was devastatingly shattered. New friendships were being made because of what side they were on, and everyone started making alliances - for or against Percy. Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, became the biggest piece of news for the camp. The Gods watched over, Zeus being as paranoid as always, but refused to take sides like the demigods did. They watched him, though, knowing something was wrong.
Now...the camp is at odds with itself. The Gods are watching over everything and everyone - Zeus and Thalia are fighting because of her siding with Percy, and Hades and Bianca and Nico are closer than ever. Everything has been changed at Camp Half-Blood, and all everyone can say is "Nothing is WHAT I USED TO KNOW !"
