HAIR&EYES Demyan's eyes are light enough the color really depends on what he's wearing, but if, say, he wasn't wearing anything, they'd be a very light blue. His hair is wavy and blonde, though it has darkened over time and will probably be dark when he gets older

PERSONALITY 
Demyan takes middle child syndrome to an entirely new extreme. He strives to be in control of every situation he finds himself in. Rather than lead, however, Dem generally prefers to manipulate things to his advantage more subtly from behind the scenes so that very little if any of the results can be traced back to him. He has an innate gift for intuitively reading people, and generally will say whatever he has to in order to use what he finds to his advantage. This is especially true if he holds romantic interest. 

Dem has a carefully concealed but highly volatile temper. There are very few limits to what he will do in order to get and maintain control of both situations and people if he deems them valuable enough to hold his interest. He has a distinctive, driving need to understand what makes other people tick. He has a tendency to spend a great deal of time analyzing their desires and motives until he fully understands and can use them for his benefit. It appeals to him to view people objectively as assets rather than living things. While he is not technically crazy, his tendencies would point to some sort of psychosis, if not fully developed, then impending and waiting for the right trigger.

HISTORY 

Demyan is Anastasia and Matthias middle child, and has very little knowledge of the beginnings of his parents' relationship. He grew up thoroughly middle class, but his father's job required that he travel a great deal, and he was rarely ever a presence in Demyan's life. His mother's presence, however, was a constant. Fiercely protective to the point of overly so for reasons Demyan never understood, Anastasia very rarely let her children far out of her sight until they left for school. Because she never took the time to explain her reasons, Demyan came to resent her limitations, and when he entered Hogwarts, he rebelled almost instantly. It could be argued that Anya's extreme level of exerted control over her children's lives triggered their need to control their own destinies. 

Whatever the reason, at sixteen, though Demyan is intelligent and his grades are decent, his priorities lie elsewhere. He can nearly always be found talking to someone, though occasionally activities merit that he not be found at all. Demyan isn't sure what direction his life should take professionally yet, though he is in search of something to garner a more long-lasting feeling of satisfaction than the fleeting moment he gets from his current distractions. With the knowledge his seventh years is quickly approaching, Dem is aware he has some decisions to make, and a very limited amount of time before he's tossed rather heedlessly into the real world.
