HAIR&EYES Kathryn has long brown hair that is usually curly, reaching her back. She wears it down most of the time, only occasionally putting it up for formal occasions or to exercise. Her eyes are a difficult color to pin down, as it seems to depend on the lighting.
HEIGHT&WEIGHT 5'7”, about 115 lbs though her weight does fluctuate. She is pretty big in the bosom department. <.<

PERSONALITY
Kathryn is the sort of person that you'll either like because she's nice, or hate for just the same reason. She doesn't discriminate by house or blood status (having been raised by a muggleborn) or listen to what others say about a particular person. She's been the victim of rumors before and would have hated to be judged on that, so she doesn't judge other people either. Of course, when she sees that a person is nasty herself by if they are using other people or bullying them, she doesn't forgive all that easily. She sees them for what they are, and just tends to ignore them rather than giving the satisfaction of hating them. It's more effort than they're worth.

She has a lot of questions about her parents that she isn't sure will ever be answered, and feels lost at times when she tries to think about it. Because the only thing that she really knows is that they died fighting against Death Eaters. For their sake as much as for her adoptive father's, Kathryn tries to be a good person. She doesn't judge others prematurely and she tries to help people. And she doesn't drink or party too often. When she does party with people she keeps her head straight and just has a good time... Not a great time, as the saying goes. She's not entirely a goodie-goodie though. She has her moments of swearing and secretly hating people. She just fights them better than the average teenager, making her seem a bit older.

She doesn't like the idea of getting intimate with people. It's a fear, now, because of something that happened to her. But she does love the idea of a romance. She doesn't know if she still believes in true love anymore but a part of her wants to think that it's possible, and that it will happen to her.

HISTORY Kathryn has always been a very sweet girl, ever since she was a toddler. She would make things for her father and his friends and rarely asked anything in return... Though when she did ask, Justin seemed to find it difficult to refuse her. For that reason they have two cats, two dogs, and a parrot at his place. The parrot and one of the dogs were rescue animals, the rest were just ones that she found and brought home. Because of the experiences that Justin had, most of her life was spent involved more in the muggle world than the wizarding world.

When she went to Hogwarts she made a few friends from her dorm but most of her time was spent doing extra-curricular activities like chess and art. She never really excelled at any of them but she thought that they were fun to pass the time with. She didn't have a lot of things to worry about, though one of the big ones that she did concern herself with was the identity of her parents. Justin had always been honest with her that he wasn't her biological father and that her parents had been casualties in the war. But he never said much more than that... Most of the time she was alright with that, but other times she had to wonder where her curly locks came from, or if either of her parents had had the habit of tapping their feet to music. Little things like that would always make her wonder, and she didn't feel quite complete.

When she was fifteen years old, she finally let herself get into a relationship with a boy. Justin had taught her from a young age to have confidence in herself and not do things that she would regret later on in time. So her objective had always been to wait until she was married to be with someone in that intimate way. However, she was eventually coaxed into it with sweet words and she ended up pregnant. She and the boyfriend did break up and she left school for a time in anticipation. But two months before her due date she had a miscarriage. It was something that she couldn't ever get over, but in a way it wasn't all bad. She'd had her reality check, and didn't see the world as full of goodness and hope. The boy hadn't been worth the pain of loss, and Kathryn only really bounced back because of her father's support and the consideration of the nurse that had cared for her. It was the caring and hospitable way that she'd been treated by the nurse and doctors that made her think about doing something with her life that would make someone else happy, or ease them through times of pain.

She's returned to Hogwarts, though she's had to restart her fifth year. She's still recovering from what happened over the last year, but she's slowly getting her cheerful nature back. In any case, she's trying to make herself better for what happened.

RP SAMPLE. Thiery sat very quietly as well, listening to everyone speak and filing away the facts in his mind as he learned them. Who was connected to who, what they were here for, who might end up being a problem before this rescue mission was over. He'd learned a long time ago the truth in Xander's words. They could use as many people as they got this time, because they had no idea how it was going to end. Thiery had sent a coded owl to the Order just in case things didn't pan out so that they could plan another attempt, but that was as far as he'd come for a Plan B. He was hoping that they weren't going to need one.

When the tension in the room built to a certain point, Thiery sighed and brought a cigarette to his mouth without thinking. Remembering that he was supposed to be quitting, he tucked it into the pocket of his leather jacket and turned his blue eyes back to the group, trying not to think about the fact that most of them were still only school-aged. “That's enough bickering. We all know what we came here to do. Your reasons for coming are far less important, and we don't need to hear them.” He gestured to the very uncomfortable Death Eater. Thankfully the man knew what he meant because he brought over a crude hand-made map, not the greatest of art and certainly the handwriting could use work but it would be better than nothing. “We have this to go by. It doesn't cover every room, but it should get you where you need to go. Don't take any wrong turns because you don't know who might be behind what door. Bellatrix Lestrange, the Dark Lord himself... Don't take any chances. There might even be enchantments placed so that you can't enter the mansion, but you'll want to know where they are coming from if they give us chase. Here...” He took a few pictures of the map with a muggle camera almost as an afterthought and passed the copies around to them. He looked at them, his face as serious as ever as he asked, “Brooms, did you bring yours? I don't think that we'll be able to apparate. The Dark Lord is not such a fool as that. I do hope that you all can fly...”
