As Bridger continued to roll around in pain, anger was building inside of him. The couldn't think of a time that he was angrier or in more pain than now. As Sydney finally lowered her wand, Bridger laid on the floor waiting to catch his breath. His heart was racing faster than it ever had and sweat was pouring down his face. As she began to doubt his ability to cast the spell, Bridger knew that he was falling right into her trap but he didn't care at this point. "You don't think I can do it? All I have to do is pretend that he is you and I could probably kill him with the spell Sydney" he explained through gritted teeth. He was going to do just that, take his anger with Sydney, out on Xander, though honestly he didn't want to kill him so he would have to pretend that Sydney hadn't just cruciated him.
Hearing her words, he did as she said, his teeth tightly clenched and anger just radiating off of him. It took every bit of willpower he had to point his wand at Xander, instead of Sydney but somehow he managed. "CRUCIO!" he yelled with raging anger, but as he held his wand over Xander, he felt as if the spell was draining him of energy. He had put every ounce of anger he had into that spell and it exhausted him. Bridger closed his eyes and tried to block out any screaming but he wasn't able to cast the spell long. He collapsed on the floor in a heap as soon as his wand was lowered and he snapped it in half for the second time in his life. It wasn't smart to break your own wand in the same room as a death eater but he didn't care, he was finished. "That was for you" he told Sydney bitterly as he finally stood again.
